Mylar Film Breakdown
Voltage : 0.1mm ‐> 15000V
0.2mm ‐> 22000V
0.25mm ‐> 25000V
0.3mm ‐> 27500V
0.4mm ‐> 32000V I use 0.1mm mylar film which can only tolerate 15kV. If we need to increase the breakdown voltage to 30kV, we need to increase the thickness to 0.4mm!! An alternative way is to connect 2 cap. of 0.1mm mylar films in series :

Use special Aluminium solder wire
to connect the 2 sides to the wires
Aluminium A1 & A3 shift about 2cm margin out of the mylar film in opposite
direction to avoid high voltage arc occur on
the edges.

I’ve made more layers, result in 0.335uF For 0.2uF 30kV needs 60 layers
