We did not have enough money to make our loan interest payment of $59,290.33 which was due on July 31st, 2014 and so we lost out on receiving our 1% interest rebate. We still owe $5,000 on the July invoice and another interest payment will come due in January. Our loan balance is 2.66 million. Donations to the Building Fund have dropped off substantially and we are suffering financially because of it. Please consider making a donation to the building fund as soon as possible so we can rectify this situation. Parish Office / Bureau Paroissial 5407 Comber Sideroad, P.O. During Advent we look more deeply at our lives and prepare our hearts for Christ. What lies in darkness and waiting? What is calling us into the light? Are we willing to let the divine potter fashion what is best for our lives? May we prepare ourselves to be all that God created us to be. 1er dimanche de l’Avent: Veillez et espérez. Le Christ reviendra achever l’œuvre de son salut. D’ici là, nous sommes invités à nous rappeler sa bienveillance envers nous. Même s’il semble tarder, il faut veiller et être prêts pour son retour. Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Christ and at this time it is our hope that each and every child and their parents can experience love and joy in receiving a gift. We encourage everyone to participate in any way possible. Please follow these easy directions: ~ The list of items needed by each family has been divided into individual gift ideas. Check the paper ornaments on the ‘giving tree’ in the narthex. On the back of the ornament is the name of an article or gift that is needed by a child or adult in one of these families. Please choose from these, an item that you could buy (new items only please.) ~ Take the ornament home with you so you can remember what it is you are to buy and to make sure no one else buys the same thing. ~ After you have bought the article, do not wrap the gift but please attach the paper ornament securely to the gift and place it under the giving tree by December 14th. Please note, the agency will NOT accept wrapped gifts, but you can provide wrapping paper if you wish and the parents will wrap the gifts for their children. If you have any questions about the Giving Tree please contact Marie Levesque at 519-798-3168. Announcements: It is our policy in the parish that no announcements are to be made via power point unless the event is occurring immediately after mass. In the roman missal instructions, it clearly states that announcements are to be as brief as possible, should they even be necessary. That is why for our power point the policy is that we only announce things that go on immediately following the mass, such as an event or sale of tickets. Everything else can be announced in the bulletin. We will continue to honour this policy.
