Jesus tells us in today’s Gospel, ‘Very truly, I tell
you, the one who believes in me will also do the
works that I do and , in fact, will do greater works
than these’. Jesus begins His statement with ‘very
truly’. Jesus is emphasizing that we can do this! As
disciples and Christian stewards these words for
today should comfort us and give us a great deal of
God-grounded confidence as we endeavour to succeed in our good works.

We are community. The Church of which we are part, resembles a temple. We are the stones and Christ
is the foundation. Each one of us plays an important role in this community, but more workers are needed.
The construction of this spiritual temple goes on and on.

La parole de
Dieu en ce dimanche nous met en contact avec la
réalité communautaire. L’Église que nous formons est à l’image d’un temple composé de pierres dont le Christ constitue la fondation. Chacun et chacune
de nous occupe une place essentielle dans la communauté.
D’autres pierres sont aussi demandées. La construction du
temple spirituel se poursuit toujours...

offers 4 bursaries now.
Two bursaries are available to graduating High
School students ($250.00 each) going on to post
-secondary studies in the Fall of 2011.

Music Bursary ($100.00) is also for a graduating High
School student going on to post-secondary studies in the Fall
of 2011.

Priesthood Discernment Group:
Men high
school age and older are invited to the monthly Priesthood
Discernment Group meeting taking place Saturday, May 28,
2011 from 10 am to 12 noon at Our Lady of the Atonement
Parish, 2940 Forrest Glade Dr., Windsor. This time of
prayer, reflection and discussion is an opportunity to share
about the priesthood and how God is working in our lives.

Confirmation Students:
Our
confirmation class will have a retreat day,
Thursday, May 26th here at the parish
hall. All students to be confirmed must
attend this day in preparation for their
Confirmation on June 7th.

This year, a parish mass will be celebrated on
Friday, June 3rd at 6pm followed by our annual
BBQ, sponsored by the PPC. Tickets available

Annual Shrine Day:
Parishioners,
relatives and friends are welcome to attend the
Knights of Columbus Annual Shrine Sunday,
June 12th, 2011 beginning at 3pm at the Diocesan Shrine of ‘Our Lady of the Rosary’, St.
Patrick’s Church, Merlin. There will be an
outdoor mass under the direction of the Rosarian Fathers.
Immediately following Mass, a procession through the
grounds at the Shrine and Living Rosary will be part of the
celebration with members of the Fourth Degree Knights in
full regalia. In the event of inclement weather, the event will
take place inside St. Patrick’s Church. This year’s theme
will be ‘Continued support for LIFE in opposition to Euthanasia, Doctor Assisted Suicide and Abortion’. Our Lady
chose LIFE and said YES to the Angel. What could be more
demonstrative of our Christian support than to dedicate a
prayerful event in this honour at our own Diocesan Shrine?
