1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Der USB-20V ist ein Adapter, mit dem sich Camcorder,
Kameras oder andere Videoquellen an ein Notebook
oder an einen PC mit USB 2.0-Schnittstelle anschließen
lassen. Die beiliegenden CDs beinhalten Bediensoftware
in Deutsch und Englisch und verschiedene Treiber.

2 Safety Notes
This unit corresponds to the directive for electromagnetic

● The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C).
● For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use chemicals or water.
● No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for any
resulting personal damage or material damage will be
accepted if the unit is used for other purposes than
originally intended, if it is not correctly connected or not
repaired in an expert way or if the software is not correctly installed.

3 Software-Installation
1) Den USB-Stecker (1) des Grabbers in einen freien
USB-Steckplatz am Rechner stecken. Das Betriebssystem erkennt nun das neue Gerät und fragt
nach dem dazugehörigen Treiber.
2) Die beiliegende Treiber-CD „Multimedia Installation
Kit“ in das CD-Laufwerk einlegen und auf „OK“
klicken.
3) „DURCHSUCHEN“ anklicken und das CD-Laufwerk
auswählen.
4) Auf der CD den Ordner „GrabbeeX“ suchen und in
diesem wiederum den Ordner „Driver“. Nun jeweils
auf „OK“ klicken, bis sich die Fenster wieder
geschlossen haben. Falls der Treiber nicht automatisch installiert wird, die „Setup.exe“ im Verzeichnis
„GrabbeeX\Driver“ aufrufen.
5) Vor der Installation der Software für die Bedienoberfläche die CD-Schlüssel-Nummer (CD-key auf der
CD) notieren. Dann die CD in das CD-Laufwerk legen.
Das Setup-Programm dafür befindet sich auf der CDROM „PowerDirectorPro“ in dem Ordner „Setup“. Dort
wiederum die Datei „Setup.exe“ aufrufen.
6) Nach dem Start der „Setup.exe“ die gewünschte
Sprache wählen (z. B. Deutsch) und mit „OK“ bestätigen. Es erscheint das „Willkommen“-Fenster, auf
„Weiter“ klicken.
7) Die Frage nach der Annahme der Lizenzbestimmungen mit „Ja“ bestätigen und im nächsten Fenster den
Benutzernamen und die zuvor notierte CD-SchlüsselNummer eingeben.
8) Im nächsten Fenster das Zielverzeichnis wählen und
auf „Weiter“ klicken.
9) Als letzte Einstellung noch das Arbeitsverzeichnis
wählen und auf „Weiter“ klicken.
Um das Programm mit diesen Einstellungen zu
installieren, auf „Weiter“ klicken. Bevor jetzt mit dem
Programm gearbeitet werden kann, muss zunächst
die Einstellung für die grafische Bildschirmauflösung
auf mindestens 1024 x 768 Punkte mit einer Farbauflösung von mindestens 16 Bit geändert werden.
4 Grundeinstellung des Bedienprogramms
1) In dem Menü „Bearbeiten“ den Eintrag „Einstellungen“ anklicken.
2) Die Registerkarte „Anzeigen“ anklicken.
3) Für die Bildrate die Option „PAL (25 Bilder)“ einstellen.
5 Anschluss der Videoquelle
Wenn das anzuschließende Videogerät mit einem
SVHS-Ausgang ausgestattet ist, diesen mit der 4-poligen
Kupplung (2) verbinden. Sonst den Videoausgang an die
gelbe Cinch-Kupplung (3) anschließen. Den Tonausgang
ggf. an eine vorhandene Soundkarte anschließen.

3 Software Installation
4 Basic Setting of the Operating Programme
1) Connect the USB plug (1) of the grabber to a free USB
port on the computer. The operating system will recognize the new unit and request the corresponding
driver.
1) In the menu “Edit”, click “Preferences”.
2) Click the register card “Display”.
3) For the picture rate, adjust the option
“PAL (25 frames)”.
2) Insert the supplied driver CD “Multimedia Installation
Kit” into the CD drive and click “OK”.
5 Connection of the Video Source
3) Click “BROWSE” and select the CD drive.
4) Search the folder “GrabbeeX” on the CD, then search
the folder “Driver” in this folder. Click “OK” respectively until the windows are closed. If the driver is not
automatically installed, call the “Setup.exe” in the
directory “GrabbeeX\Driver”.
5) Prior to installing the software for the operating surface, note down the CD key number. Insert the CD
into the CD drive. The setup programme for this can
be found on the CD-ROM “PowerDirectorPro” in the
folder “Setup”. In this folder, call the file “Setup.exe”.
6) After starting the “Setup.exe”, select the desired language (e. g. English) and confirm with “OK”. The “Welcome” window will appear, click “Next”.
7) Click “Yes” to confirm the request for accepting the
licence agreement. In the next window, enter the user
name and the CD key number noted down before.
8) In the next window, select the destination folder and
click “Next”.
9) As the last setting, select the working directory, then
click “Next”.
To install the programme with these settings, click
“Next”. Before it is possible to work with this programme, it is necessary to change the setting for the
graphic screen resolution to a minimum of 1024 x
768 pixels with a minimum colour resolution of 16 bits.
If the video unit to be connected is equipped with an
SVHS output, connect this output to the 4-pole inline jack
(2). Otherwise connect the video output to the yellow
phono inline jack (3). If required, connect the audio output to an existing sound card.

1 Possibilités d’utilisation
Le USB-20V est un adaptateur qui permet de relier des
camescopes, caméras ou toute autre source vidéo à un
ordinateur portable ou un ordinateur PC dotés d’une interface USB 2.0. Les CDs livrés comportent le logiciel d’utilisation en allemand et en anglais et différents drivers.

L’USB-20V è un adattatore con cui è possibile collegare
camcorder, videocamere o altre sorgenti video con un
notebook o un PC se equipaggiati con una porta USB
2.0. Il CD allegato contiene il software applicativo in lingua tedesca e inglese nonché diversi driver.

3 Installation du logiciel
1) Reliez la fiche USB (1) du convertisseur à un port
USB libre de l’ordinateur. Le système d’exploitation
reconnaît le nouvel appareil et demande le driver correspondant.
2) Placez le CD livré “Multimedia Installation Kit” dans le
lecteur et cliquez sur “OK”.
3) Cliquez sur “PARCOURIR” et sélectionnez le lecteur
de CD.
4) Sur le CD, recherchez le dossier “GrabbeeX” puis
dans ce dernier, recherchez le dossier “Driver.” Cliquez maintenant sur “OK”, jusqu’à ce que les fenêtres
se referment. Si le driver n’est pas automatiquement
installé, appelez “Setup.exe” dans le répertoire “GrabbeeX\Driver”.
5) Avant d’installer le logiciel pour l’interface utilisateur,
notez le numéro clé du CD (CD key sur le CD). Placez
ensuite le CD dans le lecteur. Le programme d’installation se trouve sur le CD-Rom “PowerDirectorPro”
dans le dossier “Setup”. Appelez ensuite le fichier
“Setup.exe”.
6) Après le démarrage de “Setup.exe”, sélectionnez la langue voulue (p. ex. English) et confirmez avec “OK”. La
fenêtre “bienvenue” apparaît, cliquez sur “poursuivre”.
7) Confirmez avec “oui” la demande d’acceptation du
déclaration de licence et dans la fenêtre suivante, saisissez le nom de l’utilisateur et le numéro clé de CD
noté précédemment.
8) Dans la fenêtre suivante, sélectionnez le répertoire de
destination et cliquez sur “poursuivre”.
9) Comme dernier réglage, sélectionnez le répertoire de
travail et cliquez “poursuivre”.
Pour installer le programme avec ces réglages,
cliquez sur “poursuivre”. Avant de pouvoir travailler
avec le programme, il faut tout d’abord modifier le
réglage de la résolution graphique de l’écran à au
moins 1024 x 768 points avec une résolution couleur
de 16 bits au moins.
4 Réglage de base du programme d’utilisation
1) Dans le menu “edit”, cliquez sur “réglages”.
2) Cliquez sur la carte d’enregistrement “Display” (afficher).
3) Pour le taux d’images, réglez l’option “PAL (25 frames)”.
5 Branchement de la source vidéo
Lorsque l’appareil vidéo à relier est doté d’une sortie
SVHS, reliez-la à la prise 4 pôles femelle (2). Sinon reliez
la sortie vidéo à la prise jaune RCA femelle (3) ; si besoin,
reliez la sortie audio à une carte sonore existante.

3 Installazione del software
4 Impostazione base del programma applicativo
1) Inserire il connettore USB (1) del grabber in una porta
USB libera del computer. Il sistema operativo riconosce la nuova periferica e richiede il relativo driver.
1) Nel menù “Modificare” cliccare su “Impostazioni”.
2) Cliccare sulla scheda “Display/Visualizzazione”.
3) Per la velocità delle immagini impostare l’opzione
“PAL (25 frames)”.
2) Inserire il CD “Multimedia Installation Kit” nel drive CD
e cliccare su “OK”.
3) Cliccare su “Sfoglia” e selezionare il drive.
4) Sul CD, cercare la cartella “GrabbeeX” e nella stessa
la cartella “Driver”. Cliccare su “OK” finché le finestre
sono di nuovo chiuse. Se il driver non viene installato
automaticamente, chiamare “Setup.exe” in “GrabbeeX\Driver”.
5) Prima dell’installazione del software per l’interfaccia
utente copiare il numero chiave che si trova sul CD
(CD-key). Quindi inserire il CD nel suo drive. Il programma di setup si trova sul CD-Rom “PowerDirectorPro” nella cartella “Setup”. Chiamare il file “Setup.exe”.
6) Dopo l’avvio di “Setup.exe” selezionare la lingua desiderata e confermare con “OK “. Appare la finestra di
“Benvenuto”; quindi cliccare su “Avanti”.
7) Confermare con “Si” la domanda sulle licenze e nella
finestra successiva digitare il nome dell’utente e il
numero chiave del CD precedentemente segnato.
8) Nella finestra successiva selezionare la cartella di
destinazione e cliccare su “Avanti”.
9) Come ultima impostazione selezionare la directory di
lavoro e cliccare su “Avanti”.
Per installare il programma con questi parametri,
cliccare ancora su “Avanti”. Prima di poter lavorare
con il programma occorre impostare per il monitor una
risoluzione minima di 1024 x 768 pixel con risoluzione
minima dei colori di 16 bit.
5 Collegamento della sorgente video
Se l’apparecchio video da collegare possiede un’uscita
SVHS, collegarla con il connettore femmina a 4 poli (2).
Altrimenti collegare l’uscita video con il connettore RCA
femmina giallo (3). Collegare l’uscita audio, se necessario, con la scheda audio se presente.

2 Consejos de utilización y seguridad
El aparato cumple con la normativa europea 89/336/CEE

3 Instalación del software
sobre este programa, debe antes de todo, modificar el
ajuste para la resolución gráfica de la pantalla a como
mínimo 1024 x 768 puntos con una resolución en
color de 16 bits como mínimo.
1) Conecte la toma USB (1) del convertidor a un puerto
USB libre del ordenador. El sistema operacional
detecta el nuevo aparato y solicita el driver correspondiente.
2) Coloque el CD entregado “Multimedia Installation Kit”
en el lector CD y confirme en “OK”.
3) Haga un clic en “VISUALIZAR” y seleccione el lector
CD.
4) En el CD, busque el archivo “GrabbeeX” y en este último, busque el archivo “Driver”. Haga un clic en “OK”,
hasta que las ventanas se cierren. Si el driver no se
instala automáticamente, seleccione “Setup.exe” en
el repertorio “GrabbeeX\Driver”.
5) Antes de instalar el software para la superficie de utilización, anote el número clave del CD (CD key en el
CD). Coloque después, el CD en el lector. El programa de instalación está en el CD-ROM “PowerDirectorPro” del archivo “Setup”. En este último seleccione
el fichero “Setup.exe”.
6) Después del arranque de “Setup.exe”, seleccione el
idioma deseada (p. ej. inglés) y confirme con “OK”. La
opción “bienvenido” aparece, haga un clic en “seguir”.
7) Confirme con “si” la petición de aceptación de la
declaración de licencia y en la opción siguiente, entre
el nombre del utilizador y el número clave del CD
anotado precedentemente.
8) En la opción siguiente, seleccione el repertorio de
destino y haga un clic en “seguir”.
9) Para el último reglaje, seleccione el repertorio de trabajo y haga un clic en “seguir”.
Para instalar el programa con estas regulaciones,
haga un clic en “seguir”. Antes de poder trabajar

1) Wsadzić wtyczkę urządzenia do wolnego portu USB
komputera. System operacyjny wykryje nowe urządzenie i poprosi o odpowiednie sterowniki.
2) Wsadzić do napędu CD-ROM dołączoną płytę “Multimedia Installation Kit” i kliknąć przycisk “OK”.

5 Conexión de la fuente video
Cuando el aparato video a conectar dispone de una salida SVHS, conéctela a la toma 4 polos hembra (2). Si no
conecte la salida video a la toma amarilla RCA hembra
(3); si es necesario, conecte la salida audio a una tarjeta
sonora existente.

1) W menu “Edit” wybrać “Preferences”.
2) Wybrać zakładkę “Display”.
3) Dla częstotliwości obrazu wybrać opcję
“PAL (25 frames)”.
3) Kliknąć przycisk “BROWSE” i wybrać napęd CD-ROM.
4) Odnaleźć katalog “GrabbeeX”, a następnie “Driver”.
Kliknąć “OK”. Jeśli sterowniki nie zostaną automatycznie zainstalowane, należy uruchomić program
“Setup.exe” znajdujący się w katalogu “GrabbeeX\Driver”.
5) Przed instalacją oprogramowania należy zapisać
numer seryjny. Włożyć płytę CD z oprogramowaniem oznaczoną jako “PowerDirectorPro” do napędu CD-ROM. Oprogramowanie znajduje się w
katalogu “Setup”. Należy uruchomić program
“Setup.exe”.
6) Po uruchomieniu programu należy wybrać odpowiedni język.
7) Potwierdzić przyciskiem “Yes” warunki licencyjne. W
następnym oknie dialogowym należy wpisać nazwę
użytkownika oraz zanotowany wcześniej numer
seryjny.
8) W następnym oknie należy wybrać katalog, w którym
zostanie zainstalowane oprogramowanie, a następnie należy kliknąć przycisk “Next”.
9) Na końcu należy wskazać katalog roboczy i kliknąć
przycisk “Next”.
Aby zainstalować program z tymi ustawieniami
należy kliknąć przycisk “Next”. Aby mogłaby być
możliwa praca z tym programem wymagane są
następujące ustawienia pracy monitora: minimalna
rozdzielczość 1024 x 768 przy 16 bitowej głębi
kolorów.
5 Podłączanie źródeł wideo
W przypadku kiedy źródło jest wyposażone w wyjście
typu SVHS podłączyć je do gniazda kablowego SVHS
(2) [4 pinowe]. Natomiast kiedy jest wyposażone w
wyjście typu VHS podłączyć do gniazda typu chinch (3).
W razie konieczności podłączyć wyjście audio źródła
wideo do karty muzycznej komputera.
