GENERAL INFORMATION
Dear Colleague,
It is the pleasure of the Steering Committee (Department of Radiology, Rouen
University Hospital ) to invite you participate in the 15th Post Graduate Course of the
ESPR. The event will be organized in Deauville, a famous and charming resort on the
Normandy coast, in France.
LOCATION « Hôtel de l’Amirauté »***
The ESPR 2006 course will be devoted to Paediatric Emergency Radiology.
The ESPR course meetings will be held at one of the finest hotels in Deauville
L'Hôtel de l'Amirauté which has been specifically designed to welcome major
scientific events. The Hotel is located 2 km from the Deauville train station, harbour
and seafront.
We strongly encourage the participants to organize their trip as to arrive in France
on Wednesday morning, Oct 4 in order to reach Deauville in the afternoon. The
ESPR course will start at 9:00 am on Thursday, Oct 5.
Deauville is easily accessible by train from Paris, or by aircraft from several places
in Europe. It is a fine resort, well known for its sandy beach and the American Film
Festival. Impressionist artists fell in love with Deauville and Trouville and left us well
known paintings found in the major Art Museums throughout the world.
A distinguished panel of Lecturers will be present in Deauville. All the emergencies
encountered in paediatric practice will be considered either during plenary sessions or in
workshops.
For more information, please contact the Steering Committee Secretary, Richard
Medeiros – Rouen University Hospital Medical Editor, at ([email protected])
The final program and registration form are now available on the following web
site. http://www.chu-rouen.fr/espr
We are looking forward to seeing you in Deauville next autumn.
With best regards

Please make a note of the train schedules from Paris to Deauville
(http://www.voyages-sncf.com/). Usually, the last train leaves Paris (St. Lazare
station) at 18:00.
Our Gala Dinner will be a unique occasion for the future leaders of Pediatric
Radiology to meet the teachers in a warm friendly atmosphere. Remember that, in
fact, many of the lecturers were once students at the first ESPR courses !
The Hotel has offered us a special rate for all ESPR course participants who
would like to stay for 2 additional days. Please contact the Hotel Desk directly for
your supplementary 2 day reservation.
Deauville weather in October is difficult if not impossible to predict. It can be
Summer, or a bit cooler, with intermittent showers or simply cloudy. However, the
temperatures often remain within a very comfortable range.
We are looking forward to meeting you in Deauville for the 15th ESPR Course.
For the Steering Committee,
Prof. JN Dacher
