Chemistry and Physics (IUD Chemistry/Physics)
Présentation du Diplôme Universitaire International en Chimie et Physique
Potential students:
This diploma was developed for English-speaking foreign students who do not have a
command of the French language but who wish to study in France at a University level in
science. Lectures, tutorials and experimental work are taught entirely in English.
Ce diplôme s’adresse aux étudiants étrangers qui souhaitent poursuivre leurs études supérieures scientifiques en
France mais ne maitrisent pas le français. L’enseignement est entièrement dispensé en anglais.
Objectives:
This program allows the student to follow first year science courses in English while learning
French as a preparation for second year. Students that have successfully obtained the IUD
may directly enter a second year National Licence Degree program in Chemistry and/or
Physics.
Objectif
L’objectif de ce diplôme est de permettre à l’étudiant de suivre une 1ère année universitaire scientifique enseignée
en anglais tout en apprenant le français. La validation de ce DU lui permettra d’intégrer le cursus d’une 2 ème
année de Licence scientifique (physique ou chimie).
Program Information:
-
450 hours of science courses. Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics are the science
subjects taught in the form of lectures, tutorials and laboratory experiments.
96 hours of French as a Foreign language.
30 hours of Scientific French
Principes généraux :
- 450 heures de formation en sciences. Les matières enseignées sont la Chimie, la Physique et les
Mathématiques sous la forme de cours, de travaux dirigés et de travaux pratiques.
- 96 heures de Français Langue Etrangère (FLE).
- 30 heures de Français Scientifique.
Successful completion of the IUD Chemistry/Physics is equivalent to the validation of first
year of the Licence Physics/Chemistry program. The student will be awarded his IUD if he
has obtained a minimum average of 10/20 from his academic performance during the year.
La validation du DUI donne l’équivalence de la 1ère année de Licence Physique – Chimie. L’étudiant obtient le
DUI s’il obtient une moyenne au moins égale à 10/20 sur l’année scolaire.
Tuition fees for the IUD Chemistry/Physics program:
4600 euros per student for the 2 semesters.
The following services are included in these tuition fees:
o Science courses
o Social Security for 1 year
o Medical
o Access to other university services and equipment (sports, libraries, cultural
associations…)
o Courses in French as a Foreign language for 2 years
Coût de la Formation :
4600 euros par étudiant pour les 2 semestres. Les droits d’inscription comprennent :
o Les droits d’inscription à la formation scientifique.
o La sécurité sociale pour un an
o La médecine préventive
o L’accès aux services et équipements universitaires (sport, bibliothèque, passe culture …)
o Les cours de FLE pendant 2 ans.
