On the occasion of the reform of engineering studies, I prepared a draft of a
new training in Industrial Chemistry at the ENIG which was presented to
the CREDIT and the answer was to combine the proposal with the existing
Training of Chemical Engineering at the ENIG.

 Project 1: Preparation and Characterization of Materials and
Nanomaterials for Catalysis and Photocatalysis: Preparation by different
methods (sol-gel, hydrothermal, co precipitation,...) of materials and
nanomaterials and their physicochemical characterizations. Their applications
for the treatment of liquid effluents by Photocatalysis and Advanced Oxidation
Processes and gaseous (deNOx, deSOx, deodorization, ...) by photocatalysis
and catalysis
 Project 2: Valorization of biomass: Valorization of biomass of the South East
and Tunisia generally organically and through the production of biogas and
thermochemically.
Manufacture of activated carbons from agricultural by-products and other
carbonaceous materials is another type of biomass valorization. It goes as well
as in the environmental field (solid waste treatment) as in the field of
sustainable development
 Project 3: Treatment of liquid and gaseous effluents: Treatment of liquid
wastes, under static and dynamic regimes, by photocatalysis, adsorption on
activated carbon, by advanced oxidation processes and membrane processes
