The Council’s Regular Monthly Meeting will be held on Monday, March 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the
Boardroom of the Municipal Building. Residents are invited to attend.
The Residents’ Annual Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 23rd (Storm date: March 24th) at
7:00 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Municipal Building. Notices of the meeting will be in the Graphic
on Wednesday, March 10th and Journal on Friday, March 19th. This is your meeting, the Residents of
the Community, and at the same time meet your newly elected council.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY IN TIGNISH
The Tignish Irish Folk Festival’s plans for St. Patrick’s Day (Wednesday, March 17th) are in full swing for a
full day of fun and music for all. Events will include: children’s activities, a traditional Irish meal - Jigs dinner
at the Legion from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. - meal tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 at the Legion or from
Committee members; Irish trivia, Irish open mic; and an Irish pub with “Cork”. Details and times will be
announced soon. Start thinking “GREEN”!
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS, PALMER ROAD
St. Patrick’s Day Celebration - Wednesday, March 17th at the Palmer Road Community Centre. There will
be local talent. Free admission! We will be serving irish stew for $3.00 a bowl and there will be an open bar.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and celebration starts at 5:00 p.m.
UNE EXPLORATION DE L’ARCHITECTURE D’ABRAM-VILLAGE
L’historien Georges Arsenault fera une présentation illustrée en français sur l’architecture d’Abram-Village, au Musée
acadien, à Miscouche, le dimanche 14 mars, à 14h00. Il discutera de l’architecture originale des maisons et autres
édifices de ce village acadien et il démontrera comment cette architecture a changé au cours des années. Il illustrera son

AN EXPLORATION OF ABRAM-VILLAGE’S ARCHITECTURE
Historian Georges Arsenault will explore Abram-Village’s architecture in an illustrated lecture, in French, at the Acadian
Museum in Miscouche, on Sunday, March 14th at 2:00 p.m. He will talk about the original architecture of the houses and
other buildings of this Acadian village and he will demonstrate how this architecture has changed over the years. He will
illustrate his subject with the help of numerous photos, old as well as recent ones. Refreshments. Free admission;

St. Louis Community will be having “Accustic James Sessions” every Thursday for the Month of March - 11th, 18th and

COURS DE PRÉPARATION AU MARIAGE

MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSE OFFERED IN FRENCH
Le Centre d’éducation chrétienne is offering a Marriage Preparation Course in french for couples who are planning to be
married in 2010 or 2011. The one day (12 hours) course is scheduled for late April or early May, depending on the number
