ATTENTION HOME HEATING CUSTOMERS: We have had a huge demand on our oil delivery service
during recent cold snaps and winter storms. We would appreciate your cooperation in ensuring your oil
supply is sufficient to carry you through at least 3 days, as we simply cannot deliver to everyone at the same
time. Please be advised there must be a path free of snow cleared to the oil tank or fill pipes!

CONCERT- OFFICIAL OPENING OF FRENCH AWARENESS CELEBRATIONS

ROAST BEEF DINNER - The Palmer Road Knights of Columbus invite you to a Roast Beef Dinner on

ART EXHIBIT
The public is invited to attend an Open House Art Exhibit on Saturday, March 12th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
at the Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest. There will be an incredible display of artwork by West Prince
Seniors who, for the past 10 weeks, participated in art classes funded by the PEI Seniors Federation and
the PEI Department of Tourism and Culture. Refreshments will be offered at this FREE event.
EXPOSITION D’ART
Le public est invité à l’exposition d’art qui aura lieu samedi 12 mars au Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest,
de 14h00 à 16h00. Il y aura des pièces d’arts incroyables par les personnes aînés de Prince-Ouest qui, au
cours des 10 dernières semaines, ont participé à des cours d’art qui a été financé par la Fédération des
aînés de l’Î.-P.-É. et le département du Tourisme et Culture de l’Î.-P.-É. Rafraîchissements seront offerts
a cet événement gratuit.

The Skinner’s Pond Port Authority Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 15th at 1:30 p.m. at the

Ê ST. PATRICK’S DAY IN TIGNISH Ê
The Tignish Irish Folk Festival Committee has planned its 3rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration in
Tignish. On Thursday, March 17th, come out and celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with fun, food and music!
There will be a corned beef and cabbage supper at the Tignish Legion - tickets are available at the Legion.
At 7:00 p.m. there will be Irish Trivia in the Legion Lounge followed by an Irish Pub with CORK! Irish roots
or not, green clothing or not, come out and join the festivities!
ATELIER POUR AIDER À GÉRER VOS FINANCES PERSONNELLES
Le Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. offre un atelier sur les finances personnelles pour jeunes adultes. Cet atelier
apprendra aux jeunes à gérer leur budget, gérer leurs dépenses, les protéger contre la fraude et investir
dans leur avenir. Cet atelier, d’une durée totale de 4 heures, est offert, en deux parties, aux centres de
formation du Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. (Wellington, Charlottetown et DeBlois) les 10 et 15 mars 2011 de
18h30 à 20h30 avec Monsieur Alcide Bernard. En cas de tempête sur une de ces dates, l’atelier annulé
sera remis au 17 mars. Pour s’inscrire, veuillez appeler le Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. au 1-877-854-3010. Cet
atelier est offert gratuitement grâce à l’appui de l’Association des collèges communautaires du Canada
(ACCC), l’Agence de la consommation en matière financière du Canada (ACFC) et l’organisme Investor

PRAYER AND REFLECTION DURING LENT
Lent is a time of reflection during which we strive to become closer to God. Le Centre d’éducation
chrétienne is offering meetings for prayer and reflection (in french) to help us better live this lenten season.
The five (5) evening gatherings, for adults, will start at 6:30 p.m. at Le Centre d’éducation chrétienne,
situated in Le Centre Goéland, on the following dates: Thursdays, 17th, 24th and 31st of March and the 7th
and 14th of April. Please contact Marie or Alméda at 854-2143 to register before March 9th.
UNE PRÉPARATION POUR MIEUX CÉLÉBRER LA GRANDE FÊTE DE PÂQUES
Le carême est un temps de réflexion durant lequel nous nous appliquons à nous approcher de Dieu. Le
Centre d’éducation chrétienne offre des sessions de prières et de réflexions en français pour nous aider à
mieux vivre ce temps du carême. Les cinq (5) sessions, pour adultes, aurons lieu à 18h30 au Centre
d’éducation chrétienne, situé dans le Centre Goéland, aux dates suivantes: les jeudis, 17, 24 et 31 mars

The Tignish Drama Club’s Monthly Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 15th at 7:00 p.m. at the
Normalization Workshop.
MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSE OFFERED IN FRENCH
Le Centre d’éducation chrétienne is offering a marriage preparation course in french for couples who are
planning to be married in 2011 or 2012. The one day (12 hours) course is scheduled for late April or early
May depending on the number of participants registered. You can register by contacting Alméda Thibodeau
at 854-2143 or at 853-3999 before March 26th.
COURS DE PRÉPARATION AU MARIAGE EN FRANÇAIS
Le Centre d’éducation chrétienne offre un cours de préparation au mariage en français pour les couples
qui planifient se marier en 2011 ou 2012. Le cours d’une journée (12 heures) est prévu pour la fin avril ou
début mai si qu’il y a un minimum de quatre couples d’inscrits. Vous pouvez vous inscrire auprès d’Alméda
Thibodeau au 854-2143 ou au 853-3999 avant la date limite du 26 mars.

The Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 15th at 7:00 p.m. at the Tignish Shore Community
Centre. Storm date: March 16th. All residents welcomed to attend.
ST. LOUIS T.O.P.S.
St. Louis T.O.P.S. meets every Monday at the St. Louis Community Hall. Weigh-in is from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m.
and our meeting is from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. We like to see old members returning and new members are
always welcome!

at Deagle’s Groceries, Tremblay’s Groceries, F.J. Shea & Son or from any of the Firemenettes. All money
raised will go towards the Miminegash Firemen Equipment Fund.
