Safaga - a lot more on offer than you think
A long and lively shopping street runs through the town, past many small
souvenir shops, past fruit and vegetable stalls, heavy with the scent from
all the spices of the Orient. The mouthwatering taste of the fresh fruit is
not to be missed: here a mango tastes like no other mango you will have
tasted!
The night-life in Safaga is rather on the quiet side, but there are still many
things to do if you want to spend a nice evening away from your hotel.
After a traditional Egyptian meal in one of the clean and simple restaurants, head up onto the roof terrace and enjoy a relaxed drink. Then
explore the busy lanes and load yourself up with fruit for the next day.
Finally, hit a nice bar for a night-cap. Ask at our Centre for their recommendations. And if you really want to party, then you’ll have to take the
hour’s trip to Hurghada, and hit one of the larger clubs like the Hard Rock
or Ministry of Sound. But don’t forget: the wind will be blowing the next
day as well!

Eine große belebte Einkaufsstraße führt durch die Stadt:
Vorbei an vielen kleinen Souvenirshops, Obst - und
Gemüseständen, begleitet vom Duft aller Gewürze des
Orients. Den Geschmack vom frischen Obst sollte man sich
auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen! Hier schmeckt eine Mango
noch nach Mango!
Das Nachtleben in Safaga ist eher ruhiger, dennoch bietet die
Stadt eine Vielzahl an Möglichkeiten einen schönen Abend
außerhalb der Hotelanlagen zu verbringen. Nach einem traditionellen ägyptischen Essen, in den einfachen aber sauberen Restaurants, ab auf die nächste Dachterrasse auf einen
ausgefallenen Drink. Dann noch durch die belebten Gassen
ziehen und sich mit Früchten für den nächsten Tag eindecken.
Am Ende auf einen Absacker in eine Bar. Einfach am Center
fragen, was gerade angesagt ist! Wer richtig feiern gehen
will, der muss in dem etwa eine Stunde entfernte Hurghada,
in die großen Clubs, wie dem Hard Rock oder dem Ministry of
Sound. Aber nicht vergessen - am nächsten Tag weht wieder
der Wind!
