Deaf or hearing-impaired visitors
Introduction
The Fondation Louis Vuitton is accessible to all.
Free priority entry is given to disabled visitors and the person
accompanying them. Priority is also given at the ticket windows
and entrances to visitors who are unable to remain standing for
extended periods of time.
The Fondation offers solutions adapted to each person’s needs in
order to provide the best possible visiting conditions for all.

Deaf or hearing-impaired visitors
Free priority access
You and one person accompanying you can enjoy free entry
to the Fondation by presenting documentary verification of
your disability. You can bypass the ticket windows and proceed
directly to the priority entrances indicated by the designated
symbols. Buttons are located in front of the entrances to open
the automatic swinging doors.
Ticket windows
The ticket windows located at the Avenue du Mahatma Gandhi
entrance on the esplanade facing the Bois de Boulogne are
equipped with hearing loops to facilitate their use by persons
with hearing aids.

You are also invited to notify our staff at reception or the
Customer Relations Department of your needs when you arrive
or when making a group reservation.
Visitor Guidance
Outside, along the building’s parapets, you will find three displays presenting a relief map of the building and the surrounding area to help you get your bearings.
In the group reception area, three scale models will enable you
to familiarise yourself with the dimensions of the building by
architect Frank Gehry, the construction materials used, and the
layout of the interior spaces.
Staff will be on hand to help you use these displays.
— Mobile app
The Fondation shuttle runs between Place Charles de Gaulle
and the Fondation. The trip is free for disabled persons and the
person accompanying them. Shuttles depart every 15 minutes
during the Fondation’s opening hours.
The Fondation’s smartphone tour app has content in French
sign language for deaf visitors who sign. It can be downloaded
for free.
Most of the videos available in the app are subtitled, and interview transcriptions are available. The app for children does not
have sound.
To catch the shuttle, take exit No. 2, “Avenue de Friedland”,
at the Charles de Gaulle-Etoile Metro and RER station. This
station is served by Metro lines 1, 2 and 6, and RER line A.

Metro line 1, Les Sablons station, “Fondation Louis Vuitton”
exit. Please note: the station is about a 15-minute walk from
the Fondation.
— By car
Reserved parking is available in front of the Fondation
entrance.
— By bus
On weekdays, Bus 244 stops at the “Jardin d’Acclimatation”
station, about a 10-minute walk from the Fondation.
On Saturdays and Sundays, the bus stops at the “Fondation Louis
Vuitton” station in front of the Fondation’s main entrance.
Visitor convenience and comfort
— Hearing loops
The reception desk, sales desk, cloakroom and shop counters
are equipped with hearing loops.
For group visits, hearing aids equipped with hearing loops are
available on loan.
The lift intercoms are equipped with hearing loops and coloured panel lights.
Any possible difficulties for deaf or hearing-impaired persons in
accessing temporary exhibitions are specified on the Inside page
of the website.
Auditorium
Headsets that amplify sound or are compatible with
the T position on hearing aids can be borrowed on request.
You are also invited to notify our staff at reception or the
Customer Relations Department of your needs when you arrive
or when making a group reservation so that you can reserve
your equipment.
Evacuation
In the event of evacuation (audible alarm, flashing lights),
please find a member of the Fondation staff, who will indicate
the procedure to follow.
