reinforcement and rocker panels, for structural integrity and impact resistance.
Benefits
A rapid curing non-sag expanding polyurethane foam.
Expands by up to 10 times volume (that’s 1000%)
Expands within 5 seconds.
Fully cured within 10 minutes.
Reduces and eliminates vibration between panels.
Provides excellent sound deadening.
Cured foam can be shaped using craft knives, files, saws or even sanded.

Once cured, Stronghold provides a bond of excellent strength & durability.
Flexible Thermoplastics, Polyamides/Polystyrene Foams/Polyurethane Foams, Rubbers and Wood.
Advantages of Using Stronghold over
Welding
Reduces risk of fire from the welding process.
Reduces the risk of panel deformation & distortion due to overheating.
Minimises the removal of trims and upholstery.
Reduces corrosion by bonding and sealing in one operation.
Used to secure dissimilar substrates e.g. steel to SMC.
Bonding reduces labour time and material costs and does not require a specialist operator.
Instructions For Use & Application
1. Remove any existing coatings or oxidation using an abrasive no finer than P180 grit abrasive.
2. Thoroughly clean the areas to be bonded using either SH801/AL Stronghold aerosol cleaner for metal
substrates, or SH803/S Stronghold 803 water based cleaner for plastic substrates, ensuring any residue is
removed using a lint free cloth (See the ‘Stronghold Ancillaries Section’).
3. Plastic substrates should be treated with Stronghold 802 adhesion promoter (refer to the instructions on the
can for use).
4. If necessary apply masking tape on either side of the joint to be sealed. This will produce a bead which is
even and equal in width.
5. If sealing drip channels or rails, it may be necessary to apply masking tape to either end of the channel to
produce a dam barrier.
6. Remove the cartridge, mixing tip and locking nut from outer packaging.
7. Load the cartridge into the dispensing gun.
8. Holding the gun and cartridge vertically up, remove the “break off tip” located at the top of the cartridge
using either a set of pliers or similar equipment.
9. Squeeze out a small amount of both parts A + B onto a piece of cloth and discard.
10. Attach the mixing tip using the locking nut. If required, cut mixing tip to the desired diameter or angle.
11. Dispense a small bead of product through the tip (approx 5cm / 2``) and discard.
12. The product is now correctly equalised and ready for use.
13. Apply a bead of adhesive to one of the surfaces to be bonded and smooth the adhesive to a thin film using
an applicator.
14. Now apply a second bead of adhesives to the same surface. Bead thickness should be approximately
5mm.
15. The panels may now be aligned in preparation for clamping and curing.
16. Any adjustments to alignments must be carried out immediately by sliding the panels against each other.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SEPARATE THE PANELS ONCE CONTACT HAS BEEN MADE.
Apply any clamps and/or retaining devices as necessary. Remove any excess adhesive using a lint free cloth.
Cure time may be accelerated with infra red or low bake facilities.
