tabac - CRIPS Ile De France
Its use produces a feeling of awareness and heightened energy but also of peacefulness. It also has appetite reducing and, sometimes, antidepressant effects. In the short-term, tobacco causes coughing, nausea, headaches, denatures tastes and smells, dulls the complexion and leads to breathlessness. Most smokers are dependent. Chronic bronchitis and respiratory insufficiency can occur with dependence. Tobacco has a harmful effect on cardiovascular function and the respiratory system and its use increases the risk of numerous disorders. It is the product with the greatest impact on health : 60 000 deaths per year in France and one in two smokers will die from the consequences of their tobacco use. In France, sales of tobacco are forbidden to under sixteen-year olds. Stopping smoking : its possible to do it alone or with the help of near ones but nicotine substitutes reduce the irritability and tiredness effects of withdrawal, particularly if they are accompanied by medical advice. DROGAS : PLACERES. RIESGOS. DEPENDENCIAS.
