accompanyed by a surgeon or a resident to the operative theaters.

EVERY MORNING
Participation to all the operative programmes of gynecologic surgery : you won’t be able to practice yourself
operative procedures. But after several weeks (long staying) and after personalized training in the practice of
Gynaecological Endoscopy surgery at the CICE, visiting doctors may be the second assistant of the surgeon in the operative
theatre…. and then the first assistant… [And according to the disponibility and the planning of French residents (house
doctors) in Gynecology and Obstetrics present in the department]
You have to BE PRESENT every morning at 7.45 in in order to access to the changing room with a surgeon or intern.
About 30 to 35 endoscopic procedures are performed every week. The laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures include both simple
cases such as adnexal surgery, as well as more advanced ones such hysterectomy, treatment of prolapses and gynecologic cancers.
Every Thursday afternoon (4.00 pm) GYNAECOLOGIC SURGICAL MEETING : the charts of the patients to be operated the following
week are reviewed and discussed (French language). MEETING ROOM Second Floor of CHU Estaing. Pôle GORH
Every monday, at 6.00 p.m. at ONCOLOGIC CENTRE JEAN PERRIN : JOINT MEETING ON ONCOLOGY. This meeting involves the
discussion of interesting or difficult clinical cases and a 20 minutes presentation which may be a review of the recent literature or the
presentation of results obtained in the department in prospective as well as in retrospective studies. Location of this meeting :

For long staying trainees :
Involvment in scientific works, articles, making surgical techniques videos, under the responsability of a senior. After several weeks
according to your personal competences and after validation of training realised in CICE, you may able to become monitor during hands-on
trainings in CICE.

The coverage applies solely for the duration of a training course (not included in a standard medical or paramedical training programme)
but undertaken at the insured persons's initiative and lasting one year at most, OR in the context of a training course resulting in a diploma, such
as a University or Inter-University Diploma (DU or DIU in France).
Coverage applies to damage incurred by the establishment or its representatives during the course.
Damage incurred by patients during healthcare procedures carried out is not covered.
