The term starts as soon as a long stay visa is delivered to the student. Otherwise, the prefecture is allowed to suspend the student’s visa if this one didn’t respect the regulations of those working hours. • Foreign students are totally allowed to practice a paid activity during their studies and this without any prior authorization. However in some derogatory cases, a provisional authorization is compulsory ( it’s the case for Algerian students, students who have to work more than 964 hours per year, and students who only have a temporary long stay visa) • The contract of employment concluded by the student and the employer has to be written up and signed at last on the first day of work of the student.
