HISTORY OF EXPLORATION AND DEVELOPMENT HISTORIQUE DE L'EXPLORATION ET DE L A MISE EN VALEUR This property is located north and west of Miner Lake, in the Fairweather Hills, some 28 kilometres south-southeast of IMer The Georgia claim was owned in 1901 by T.A. Rogers; work to date included open cuts and a 30' adit. The Lytton claim, located south of the Georgia, was owned by J.B. Silverthorn, of Lytton. The Georgia, Brigman, and Redwood Fr. (Lots 1101-1103 respectively) were Crown-granted in 1903 to Mira Monte Mining Company, Limited. By 1905 a 35' shaft had been sunk on the Georgia. The company charter was surrendered in 1918. The ground was held in 1972 as the Emerald 1-15 claims by Krancor Oil & Gas Ltd. Magnetometer and geochemical surveys were carried out. DESCRIPTION OF DEPOSITIDESCRIPTION DU GISEMENT Chalcocite and minor chalcopyrite occur in shear zones and flow tops in red volcanic breccia and massive autobrecciated augite porphyry flows of the Nicola Group.
