God is Love - Filles de la Sagesse International
God is Love
In turn, we dare say “I love You”
Introduction
From all countries, of all races, we come, borne by the Spirit.
From all countries, we take place at the feast where Wisdom invites us,
to the feast where She unites us.
Song: “Language of love” (“Notes of Wisdom”, Diane, Denyse and Marie Marleau)
Refrain : Sagesse, langage de l’amour
Sagesse, tu m’appelles chaque jour
Refrain: Wisdom, language of love
Wisdom, you call me every day.
Je veux être fidèle
Et t’aimer sans mesure
Ta bonté éternelle
Est là, qui me rassure
I want to be faithful
And love you without measure
Your eternal kindness
Is there, reassuring me.
Au temps de grande peine
Je te sens loin de moi
Je voudrais que tu viennes
Donner sens à ma croix
In time of great sorrow
I feel you are far from me
I would like you to come
To give meaning to my cross.
Je porte la Promesse
O Marie comme toi
Je répands la Sagesse
Que renaisse ta Joie
I carry the Promise
O Mary, like you
I spread Wisdom
May your Joy be born again.
Let us pray:
and
as
Lord Jesus Christ, Wisdom of God, it is with an act of faith that we want to enter into this
International Gathering. You are love, and love only, a love inviting us to trust in you
telling us: “Whoever is thirsty should come to me and streams of life-giving water will
pour out from his heart.” (Jn 7, 37-38)
We are gathered here to do your will. Increase our faith so that in discovering how much
you love us, we may be able to learn to love you more in loving our brothers and sisters
you love them.
Wisdom, Word of Love
In Jesus, Wisdom is the Word of Love
A Reading of the Word of God (Mt 11, 25-30)
At that time Jesus said, “Father, Lord of heaven and earth! I thank you because you have shown
to the unlearned what you have hidden from the wise and learned. Yes, Father, this was how you
were pleased to have it happen.
My Father has given me all things. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows
the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all of
you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it
on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. For
the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light.”

Wisdom, Word of Love in our Founders
In our predecessors, Montfort and Marie-Louise, these witnesses of the Love of God and of the
neighbour, Wisdom is Word of love.
Wisdom, Word of Love “through us” today
Through us, the love of Wisdom is a Living Word today.
Meditation
♫ Aimons-nous les uns les autres, comme
Dieu nous aime.
Mes biens aimés aimons-nous les uns les
autres puisque l’amour vient de Dieu et que
quiconque aime est né de Dieu et connaît
Dieu. (1 Jn 4,7)
Let us love one another, because love comes
from God.
Dear friends, let us love one another, because
love comes fom God. Whoever loves is a child
of God and knows God. (1 Jn 4,7)
(1 Jn 4,20)
♫ Aimons-nous les uns les autres, comme
Dieu nous aime.
Let us love one another, because love comes
from God.
If someone says: “I love God” but hates his
brother, he is a liar: for he cannot love God,
whom he has not seen, if he does not love his
brother, whom he has seen. (1 Jn 4, 20)
Let us love one another, because love comes
from God.
Personal reflection: how am I an “instrument” of the love of Wisdom?
Final Song:
The brotherly love, we are called to live it among us during this international gathering. Let us
ask the Spirit to open our hearts so that we become really brothers and sisters, one another.
Veni Sancte Spiritus (« Splendor » Dominier & la Schola)
Veni Sancte Spiritus
Et emitte caélitus
Lucis tuae radium
Come, Holy Spirit
from heaven send forth
thy radiant light
Veni pater pauperum,
Veni dator munerum,
Veni lumen cordium.
Come, father of the poor,
giver of gifts,
come light of our hearts
Consolator optime,
Dulcis hospes animae,
Dulce refrigerium
Best strengthener of the soul,
its welcome guest,
its sweet repose
In labore réquies,
In aestu tempéries,
In fletu solatiun
In labour rest,
cool in summer’s heat,
comfort in tears
O lux beatissima,
Reple cordis intima
Tuorum fidélium
Most blessed light,
reach to the hearts’ depths
of thy faithful
