My Feminism
Thorneloe University's Women's Studies Program, and The Coalition to End Violence Against
`Women, in association with Sudbury Indie Cinema, present MY FEMINISM, a critically
important look at second wave feminism in the 1990’s, a time rife with anti-feminist
backlash. Powerful interviews with feminist leaders including bell hooks, Gloria Steinem,
and Urvsahi Vaid are intercut with documentary sequences to engagingly explore the past
and present and future status of the women's movement. Join the lively discussion
afterwards with our own local feminist groundbreakers of the 90’s as well as the film’s
producers.
