The ‘Biz” Box Recycling Program is available to small businesses for an annual fee
of $59 (adjusted yearly according to a cost index). The program provides small
businesses with weekly curbside recycling collection similar to the residential blue
box collection program. The business must be located on a residential recycling
collection route.
The program is limited to three (3) yellow boxes. The collector no longer has to sort
the recyclables in the recycling truck. This means all recyclables can be mixed in
the yellow boxes.

If you’re interested in the program, please complete the attached “Biz Box”
form and fax it to 705-671-1148.
ii) The form will be reviewed to determine if the business is located on a
residential collection route.
a)
If approved, the business owner must submit the non-refundable
annual fee. Upon receiving the payment, the City will provide the
business owner a form authorizing the pick-up of the three yellow
boxes from the Recycling Centre.
b)
If not approved, the business owner will be notified and encouraged
to contact private recycling companies (listed in the Yellow Pages
under Recycling) or to deliver source-separated recyclables (without
garbage) at no charge to the Recycling Centre or to the recycling
depots located within each landfill site.
