FITTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR LP0066BK LICENCE PLATE BRACKET
TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE 2008 >

NOTE YOU WILL NEED TO GLUE THE LIGHT SHROUD TO THE LED LICENCE PLATE LIGHT BEFORE
FITTING USING SUPER GLUE.
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE COMMENCING
YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING TOOLS TO COMPLETE THIS JOB





Socket set to include 6 and 10mm sockets.
Metric allen keys.
12mm spanner if fitting R&G mini indicators R&G product code RG370.
Phillips screwdriver.
Electrical pliers/crimps.


Remove pillion and riders seat
Remove both rear side cowlings (one bolt from either side and one snap connector from
underneath).
TO REMOVE OEM LICENCE PLATE BRACKET

Remove two bolts from top rear arrowed ‘1’ in picture A.

Remove two nuts and bolts from storage compartment arrowed ‘2’ in picture A.

Remove two angled bolts from under-tray arrowed ‘3’ in picture B.

Remove all cable cover bolts from OEM licence plate bracket.
Gently lower OEM licence plate bracket and disconnect indicator and licence plate light.
Remove OEM licence plate bracket.
TO INSTALL NEW LICENCE PLATE BRACKET














Fit indicators to new under-tray (if fitting mini we suggest R&G product code RG370, you will
not require any resistors). We suggest cutting and reusing OEM indicator wiring socket plugs.
Fit new licence plate light to new licence plate bracket. We suggest cutting and reusing OEM rear
light socket plug.
Fit new licence plate bracket to new under-tray using M5 bolts supplied and clamp plate (feed
licence plate light wires through central hole as shown below left).
Offer the assembly up to motorcycle as original over rear light ensuring top plastic mounting goes
over metal mounting bracket (as shown above right).
Secure licence plate bracket/under-tray assembly to motorcycle as original using original bolts.
i.e.
Two bolts as arrowed ‘1’ in picture A.
Two nuts and bolts from storage compartment arrowed ‘2’ in picture A.
Connect wiring plugs and tidy up wires and stow behind rear light unit as original.
Refit rear side cowls (one bolt from either side and one snap connector from underneath).
Refit seats.
Refit licence plate.
IMPORTANT: IF FITTING A FULL-SIZE LICENCE PLATE AND PLACING IT
FAR DOWN ON THE LICENCE PLATE HANGER, THERE IS A SMALL
CHANCE OF THE LICENCE PLATE HITTING THE BACK WHEEL UNDER
HEAVY LOAD AND OVER LARGE BUMPS IN THE ROAD. IT IS YOUR
RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK FOR THIS POSSIBILITY AND TAKE
AVOIDING ACTION. FAILURE TO CHECK THIS COULD RESULT IN
SERIOUS INJURY.
Depending on local laws, attach enclosed red reflective tape in an appropriate location.
Please test the indicators and licence plate illuminator before riding.

CONSUMER NOTICE
The catalogue description and any exhibition of samples are only broad indications of the Products and R&G may make design
changes which do not diminish their performance or visual appeal and supplying them in such state shall conform to the order. The
Buyer acknowledges no representation or warranty (other than as to title) has been given or will apply to the Products other than those
in R&G’s order or confirmation and the Buyer confirms it has chosen the Products as being of merchantable quality and suitable for
its particular purposes. Where R&G fits the Products or undertakes other services it shall exercise reasonable skill and care and rectify
any fault free of charge unless the workmanship has been disturbed. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring that the warranty on the
motorcycle is not affected by the fitting of the Products. On return of any defective Products R&G shall at its option either supply a
replacement or refund the purchase money but shall not be liable if the Products have been modified or used or maintained otherwise
than in accordance with R&G’s or manufacturer’s instructions and good engineering practice or if the defect arises from accident or
neglect. Other than identified above and subject to R&G not limiting its liability for causing death and personal injury, it shall not be
liable for indirect or consequential loss and otherwise its liability shall be limited to the amounts paid by the Buyer for the Products or
the fitting or service concerned. These terms do not affect the Buyer’s statutory rights.
R&G RACING RETURNS POLICY (NON-FAULTY GOODS)
Returns must be pre-authorised (if not pre-authorised the return will be rejected). Goods may only be returned direct to us if they were
purchased direct from us (customer must prove if necessary). Otherwise to be returned to original vendor. Goods must be in resellable condition, in the opinion of R&G Racing. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking and handling fee (25% of the gross value
exc. P&P – at the prevailing price at time of purchase). The customer must pay any and all carriage charges. No returns of
discontinued products, unless within 14 days of purchase. This policy does not affect your statutory rights and does not refer to faulty
goods.

Outils nécessaires: Clés allen, tournevis cruciforme,
pince (spéciale électricité, jeu de clé (6 à 10 mm)

Enlevez la selle
Déserrez les vis de fixation du carénage de selle.
Enlevez le carénage de selle.

POUR ENLEVEZ LE SUPPORT DE PLAQUE D'ORIGINE,

Enlevez les deux vis situées repère 1 sur la photo A.
Enlevez les deux écrous et boulons situées en repère 2 sur la photo A.
Enlevez les deux vis situées en repère 3 sur la photo B.

Enlevez les vis de fixation du couvre câble du support d'origine.
Abaissez légérement le support d'origine et déconnectez les câbles reliant les clignotants et l'éclairage
de plaque au faisceau d'origine.
Enlevez le support d'origine.
MONTAGE DU SUPPORT R&G.
– Si vous réutilisez les clignotants d'origine, replacez les sur le support R&G.
– Si vous utilisez des clignotants adaptables, utilisez les câches en caoutchouc livrés dans le kit.
– Fixez l'éclairage de plaque R&G sur le nouveau support et serrez les écrous.
(Nous vous conseillons de couper et de réutiliser le connecteur électrique d'origine)
– Positionnez le nouveau support sur la moto, Veillez à utiliser les vis M5 et les plaques de serrage
livrées dans le kit
(passez les câbles à travers le trou centrale, voir photo ci dessous à gauche)

Présentez le support sur la moto,(assurez vous que la pièce en plastique soit bien positonnée) voir
photo ci dessus.
Fixez le support R&G à l'aide des vis d'origine précédemment démontées:
Les deux vis situées repère 1 sur la photo A.
Les deux écrous et boulons situées en repère 2 sur la photo A.
Reconnectez les câbles comme à l'origine.
Replacez et remontez les carénages de selle.
Repositionnez la selle.
Placez la plaque d'immatriculation, le plus haut possible sur le support R&G, en cas de mauvais
positionnement, celle-ci pourrait venir en contact avec le pneu arrière, se qui peux occasionner des
dommages sur la moto.
Vérifiez le bon fonctionnement de l'éclairage et des clignotants.
