Launching an exclusive service Attijari-Paypa serving Moroccan e-traders.
Marrakech, Morocco, November 21, 2014 –Attijariwafa bank , the leading bank in Morocco, have publicly presented their
exclusive partnership with PayPal during the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES).
This partnership aims to be part of the event’s thematic as it supports entrepreneurship through technology development
and contributes to enhance both creativity and innovation.
During the event, Attijariwafa bank and PayPal, have officially lanched an exclusive service that will enable Moroccan
merchants to withdraw funds from their PayPal accounts to an Attijariwafa bank account, in Dirham and other currencies.
The new service, Attijari-PayPal, the first in Maghreb, is expected to boost e-commerce opportunities in Morocco, as it allows
PayPal merchant speedier and easier access to their PayPal funds.
Overall, Attijari-PayPal will give merchants more control over their cash flow; something that is especially important for small
businesses and start-ups that need access to capital. “One of our strategic objectives at Attijariwafa bank is to enable the
growth of international e-commerce and support small and large enterprises in accessing foreign markets” said M. Ismail
Douiri, Managing Director (Co CEO) of the group Attijariwafa bank in charge of Finance, Technology and Operations Division.
