Clarence Girouard
Builder (All-round) 2001
Coach, league official, time and score keeper,
announcer, canteen worker, ticket taker and
equipment manager. All these titles fit
Clarence Girouard, who spent 40 years
volunteering in the world of hockey, softball
and baseball. In hockey season, he spends six
to 14 hours a day, seven days a week at the
rink. Clarence has been involved in many key
sports events, including the 1999 Canadian
Junior Championships, the 1975 Intercontinental Cup and the 1997 World Youth
Baseball Championships.

Clarence Girouard a cumulé les postes
d'entraîneur, d'officiel de la ligue, de
chronométreur, de marqueur, d'annonceur, de
travailleur de cantine, de receveur de billets et
de préposé à l'équipement au cours des 40
années qu'il a consacrées à titre de bénévole
au hockey, au softball et au base-ball. Durant
la saison de hockey, il passe chaque jour de 6
à 14 heures à la patinoire. Clarence a joué un
rôle actif dans de nombreux événements
sportifs, notamment les Championnats
canadiens juniors de 1999, la Coupe
intercontinentale de 1975 et les Championnats
mondiaux de base-ball des jeunes de 1997.
