Seit 7 Jahren sorgt «The International Comedy Club» dafür, dass Basel jeden zweiten Donnerstag zwei exzellente Acts der englischsprachigen Comedyszene
live erleben kann und – wieder einmal etwas zu Lachen hat.
Nicht nur die Comedians, die Guy Stevens in die Schweiz holt sind eine internationale Truppe. Auch das Publikum, das sich alle zwei Wochen in Genf,
Lausanne, Zürich und Basel zu einem «real good laugh» in der Kuppel einfindet wird immer internationaler – nicht von ungefähr kommt daher auch der Name für
die Standup Comedy Reihe: Ex Pats, Franzosen, Deutsche und ein paar Schweizer sind im Publikum wenn donnerstags das Zwerchfell zum Einsatz kommt.

Adam Boom ist bekannt für seine originelle und innovative Art. Zu seinen Erfolgen gehören unter anderem zahlreiche ausverkaufte Solo-Shows am Edinburgh
Comedy Festival. Nicht nur in seinem Heimatland wird er als Star behandelt, auch in Australien, Canada und Südafrika füllt er scharenweise die Clubs und
Theater. Im Jahr 2004 war Adam Teil der „Just Fot Laughs Comedy Tour“, die in 17 verschiedenen Städten in Canada gespielt und insgesamt 42'000 Zuschauer
gezählt hat. In der Kuppel werden es wohl nicht ganz so viele Leute sein, aber wir freuen uns trotzdem , dass er auch bei uns einen Halt machen wird.

In einer kleinen Stadt in Nova Scotia aufgewachsen, hat sich Peter White innerhalb kürzester Zeit in den Comedy Himmel gespielt. Er war nominiert für den
Canadian Comedy Award und den Writer’s Guild of Canada Award und erschien in einer TV Miniserie mit Pierce Brosnan. Als erfolgreicher und regelmässig
auftretender Comedian in ganz Canada, ist es höchste Zeit, dass er seinen Weg über den grossen Teich wagt. Wir sind gespannt und wünschen viel Spass.

In 2006 Londoner Guy Stevens founded «The International Comedy Club» with the intent of introducing the cultural concept of Stand Up Comedy Clubs to
Switzerland. Due to its ever increasing popularity and acceptance from being a niche 'Expat' entertainment to part of the general cultural landscape of
Switzerland it attracts Swiss and international Anglophones alike. Over the last seven years it has grown from the first shows in Zurich to include shows in Basel,
Lausanne and Geneva. These shows are presented nearly every two weeks from September until June. Guy Stevens, son of a well known English comedy actor,
is recognized and acknowledged by comedians and the comedy industry alike, which enables him to bring a well-known and hot new Standup acts from the UK,
USA, Canada or Australia to bring joy and laughter to our little country

Adam Bloom is one of Britain's most inventive comedians. He has performed sell-out solo shows at the `96, `97, `98, `99, 2001, 2004 & 2007 Edinburgh Festivals
as well as performing a sell-out tour of Britain. He has also sold out theatres at festivals in Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Wellington & Cape Town as well as
making three visits to „Just For Laughs“ in Montreal. In 2004, Adam was part of the 'Just For Laughs Comedy Tour', playing to 42,000 people in 17 cities across
Canada. He has also written three series of „The Problem with Adam Bloom“ for BBC Radio 4 comedian!"

Peter White (CAN)
Peter White thinks he's hilarious. Other people seem to agree. Born in a small town in Nova Scotia, Canada, Peter has gone on to accomplish a lot in a short time.
He recorded his own hour long Comedy Network stand up special, was nominated for Canadian Comedy Award and a Writer's Guild of Canada Award, and
appeared in a TV miniseries with Pierce Brosnan. He's performed all across Canada, including the prestigious Just For Laugh's international comedy festival in
Montreal, and has written for various television shows, including the multpile Gemini award winning policatl satire show "This Hour Has 22 Minutes".
