Let us introduce Doctor Jeckyll …
... an honest and respectable man of science, admired by the
high society of London. Doctor Jeckyll has always worked for the
good of his fellow citizens. Mr. Utterson and Dr. Lanyon, his
good friends know this. Yet, they are worried. Who is the strange
man hiding behind Jeckyll? Who is Mr. Hyde?
…voici le Docteur Jeckyll…
un homme de science honnête et respectable, admiré par la haute
société de Londres. Le Docteur Jeckyll a toujours oeuvré pour le
bien de ses concitoyens. Deux de ses amis proches, Monsieur
Utterson et le Docteur Lanyon le savent bien. Cependant, ils
s’inquiètent. Qui est l’homme étrange qui se cache derrière
Jeckyll ? Qui est Monsieur Hyde?
The first crime …
A little girl was walking in the street when a terrible
man came up to the girl and attacked her.
Utterson, the notary and another man
saw them. So Utterson helped the girl, her parent
arrived and called a doctor. During that time Utterson
ran after the man to capture him but he escaped.
Who is this terrible man, and why did he do that ???
Le premier crime…
Dans cette scène, une petite fille est en train de
marcher dans la rue quand un homme terrible vient
vers la petite et l’attaque. Utterson, le notaire et un
ami les voient. Alors Utterson aide la petite fille, ses
parents arrivent et appellent un docteur. Pendant ce
temps, Utterson court après l’homme pour le capturer
mais celui-ci s’échappe. Qui est cet homme terrible,
et pourquoi a-t-il fait ça ???
The second crime …
It was a dark evening. Two men were walking in the street when a
small hideous man with bushy hair met another man. They
exchanged some words when the small man got excited, shouted
and hit the old man. He knocked him to death and left like a devil.
A woman was a witness of the murder, she called the police. The
police discovered that the old man was Sir Danvers Carew. Who
killed Sir Danvers Carew ?
Le deuxième crime…
C'était un soir sombre. Deux hommes marchaient dans la rue quand l’un
d’eux, petit, hideux, avec des cheveux broussailleux rencontra l'autre
homme. Ils échangèrent quelques mots quand le petit homme s’énerva, cria et frappa le vieille homme.
Il le frappaà mort et partit comme un démon. Une femme fut témoin du meurtre, elle appela la police.
La police découvrit que le vieil homme était Sir Danvers Carew. Qui a tué Sir Danvers Carew ?
… and here is the key to the mystery…
The Dr.Jekyll is in front of a mirror and he is facing
Mr.Hyde,who is standing at the other side. They are
speaking loudly and begin to fight. Hyde laughs
because Jekyll can do nothing to destroy him and
Jekyll says that he will drink a potion which will
kill both Jekyll and Hyde. Hyde begs Jekyll to stop.
What will happen if he drinks the potion?
Voici la clé du mystère…
Le Dr.Jekyll est devant un miroir, faisant face a
Mr. Hyde , qui se tient de l’autre coté. Ils parlent
fort et commencent a se disputer. Hyde rit et
déclare que Jekyll ne peut pas le détruire mais
Jekyll répond qu’il va boire une potion qui va les
détruire tous les deux. Hyde supplie Jekyll d’arrêter. Qui des deux gagnera ?

Robert Louis Stevenson
Robert Louis Stevenson was born Nov. 13, 1850 and died December 3, 1894.
Master of the adventure novel, Robert Louis Stevenson started the genre and
continued to redefine it. Born into a family of engineers, his writing combines a
scientific nature and superstitious elements, inherited from a nurse who was a
particularly good storyteller. Stevenson received his law degree but never
worked in this field. Against the advice of his parents, he turned to writing and
began a bohemian life. Suffering from tuberculosis, he started traveling very
young, in search of a favorable climate. His travels (Europe, America, Polynesia
...), inspired many stories, including 'Travels with a Donkey in the Cevennes'.
He married in 1880 and continued his travels with his wife, Fanny to Scotland,
Switzerland, France, USA ... His first successful novel, 'Treasure Island',
appealed to adults as well as children. But Stevenson also wrote fantasy novels
such as 'The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde' (1886).
Robert Louis Stevenson est né le 13 Novembre 1850 et est mort le 3 décembre
1894. Maître du roman d'aventure, Robert Louis Stevenson a initié le genre et
n'a cessé de le redéfinir. Issu d'une famille d'ingénieurs, il est empreint à la fois
d'une rationalité toute scientifique et de superstition, héritées d'une nourrice
particulièrement bonne conteuse. Entré à l'université d'Edimbourg, Stevenson
obtient son diplôme de droit mais n'exercera jamais au barreau. Contre l'avis de
ses parents, il se tourne vers les lettres et se lance dans une vie de bohème.
Tuberculeux, il commence à voyager très jeune, à la recherche de climats
favorables. De ses voyages (Europe, Amérique, Polynésie.. .), il tire de
nombreux récits, dont le 'Voyage avec un âne dans les Cévennes'. Il se marie en
1880 et entreprend avec sa femme de nombreux séjours en Ecosse, Suisse,
France, Etats-Unis... Son premier grand succès, 'L' Ile au trésor', le place parmi
les références du roman d'aventure : il touche un large public au delà du
lectorat des enfants. Mais Stevenson écrit également des romans fantastiques,
tels que 'L' Etrange Cas du Dr. Jekyll et de Mr. Hyde' (1886).
