HISTORIQUE BACKGROUND E
I
n 1989, Philippe Bouchara achète la propriété et entreprend de
lourds investissements. La propriété étant dépourvue d’outils
techniques, les travaux furent colossaux.
Initialement de 10 ha, la propriété est à présent forte de 31 ha (48
parcelles réparties sur l’ensemble de l’AOC). Les efforts entrepris
depuis 25 ans se retrouvent dans les vins qui expriment tout le
savoir-faire d’une équipe conseillée par Eric Boissenot.
Philippe Bouchara a su donner à Tour de Pez les moyens dignes
d’un Grand Cru. Les vins ne cessent au fil des millésimes de
gagner en qualité et en notoriété.

investments. Seeing as the estate did not have proper winemaking
equipment, his challenge was herculean.
He started out with 10 hectares of vines and the estate currently has 31
hectares (48 different plots spread throughout the appellation).
Efforts made over the last 25 years and the expertise of a team advised
by Eric Boissenot are reflected in the quality of the wine.
Philippe Bouchara has endowed Tour de Pez with the same means as
a great growth. The wines have gained in quality and reputation with
each passing year.
