Elements of the articulation between
theory and practice
In the second year of IUFM, secondary prospective
teachers education has four main dimensions :
•Probationnary period in which teacher teaches one group
class all along the school year (full responsability)
•Courses on the teaching and learning of mathematics,
particularly with respect to epistemology and didactics
•Course on general professional education with emphases
on a variety of objectives and cultural orientations
•Professional report in a case study format that involves
research
