Nous avons réduit l’empreinte carbone des produits EarthPositive® de près de 90% grâce à la conception d’un produit innovant qui
est la combinaison d’une agriculture biologique à faible impact, de l’efficience dans la fabrication et de l’utilisation d’énergie éolienne
renouvelable qui remplace le réseau d’électricité conventionnel. Nous n’utilisons aucune compensation carbone.
L’empreinte carbone (CO2e) correspond au total de dioxyde de carbone, méthane, protoxyde d’azote et autres gaz à effet de serre
émis au moment de culture et de la récolte du coton, du traitement des fibres, de la fabrication du textile, de l’emballage, du transport
et de la mise en entrepôt.

The Carbon Footprint of EarthPositive® products has been reduced by 90%
We have reduced the carbon footprint of EarthPositive® products by around 90% through a combination of innovative product
design, low impact organic agriculture, efficiency in manufacturing, and by substituting standard grid electricity with renewable
wind power. We do not use carbon offsets.
The carbon footprint (CO2e) is the total carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and other greenhouse gases emmitted during
the cultivation and harvesting of cotton, fibre processing, textile production, packaging, transportation and warehousing.
Verification and Labelling
Carbon Trust Certification Limited provides independent verification of the carbon footprint of products and services. The
independent verification by Carbon Trust Certification ensures the carbon footprint measurement is robust and credible, and
enables Continental Clothing to communicate the Company’s credentials with integrity.

Depuis, d’autres marques de vêtements publient la valeur exacte des émissions des gaz à effet de serre de leurs produits - en utilisant
la même méthodologie BSI (British Standard Institute) – nous pouvons raisonnablement supposer que l’empreinte carbone d’un t-shirt
classique homme est comprise entre 7-15kg de CO2, et qu’un sweat à capuche se situe entre 40-90kg de CO2. Il y a de nombreuses
variables qui vont influer sur la valeur finale - de la graine de coton jusqu’au produit fini. L’entreprise Continental Clothing a accompli
un programme ambitieux qui a amené une réduction de l’empreinte carbone d’EarthPositive® Apparel d’environ 90%.

Until other apparel brands publish the exact GHG emission values of their products - using the same BSI standard methodology we can reasonably assume that the carbon footprint of a typical Men’s T-shirt is somewhere in the range of 7-15kg of CO2e, and
a typical hooded sweatshirt is in the range of 40-90kg of CO2e or even more. There are many variables that affect the final value
- from the cotton seed through to the finished garment. Continental Clothing Company has completed an ambitious programme
that has delivered a reduction in the carbon footprint of EarthPositive® by around 90%.

Impronta Carbone dei capi Earth Positive ridotta del 90%
Abbiamo ridotta l’impronta carbonio di tutti i capi EarthPositive all’incirca del 90% attraverso l’adozione di punti innovativi nella
catena di produzione, agricoltura biologica a basso impatto, efficenza nella produzione e utilizzo di energia rinnovabile proveniente
da torri eoliche. Non utilizziamo crediti di carbonio.
L’impronta di carbonio (CO2e) è l’insieme composto da anidride carbonica totale, metano, protossido di azoto e altri gas serra emessi
durante la coltivazione e la raccolta del cotone, lavorazione delle fibre, la produzione tessile, imballaggio, trasporto e stoccaggio.
Certificazione ed etichettatura
Il Carbon Trust Certification Limited fornisce una verifica indipendente delle emissioni di carbonio di prodotti e servizi. La certificazione
indipendente del Carbon Trust assicura che la misurazione dell’impronta di carbonio sia scrupolosa e credibile. Questo permette a
Continental Clothing di comunicare le credenziali della Società con integrità.
L’etichetta di riduzione dell’impronta carbonio, è un modo per comunicare l’impatto di ogni capo sul clima e rappresenta la
visualizzazione di un impegno molto chiaro di riduzione del carbonio.
Salvando Insieme
Fino a quando altri marchi di abbigliamento non publicheranno i valori esatti di emissione di gas serra dei loro prodotti – utilizzando
la metodologia standard BSI – si puo’ ragionevolmente supporre che l’impronta carbonio di una tipica T-Shirt rientri in un range di
7-15kg di CO2e mentre una felpa con cappuccio rientri in un range di 40-90kg di CO2e o anche di più. Ci sono molte variabili che
influenzano il valore finale - dal seme di cotone fino al capo finito. Continental Clothing Company ha portato a termine un programma
ambizioso che ha consegnato una riduzione delle emissioni di carbonio dell’abbigliamento EarthPositive® di circa il 90%.
