 JOB OPPORTUNITY Walgwan is a youth addictions treatment center working with First Nations
and Inuit youth between the ages of 12 to 17 years old. The youth come
from French and English speaking native communities from Quebec,
Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Working
with youth can be a very rewarding experience.
REPLACEMENT POSTION ON CALL
DAY ATTENDANT
Requirements;
High School Diploma / minimum
Good social skills
Be of good reputation and free of substance abuse
Good communication skills
Speak English and French, First Nations language an asset
Good reading and writing skills / English and or French
Ability to intervene in crisis situations
Ability to work in a team / team meetings
Positive attitude
CPR an asset
No criminal record
Physically fit and physically active
Must be committed to a healthy lifestyle
Valid driver’s license
Specific Function;
Preparation and support to activities and rules
Actively participate in activities in a supporting role
Communicate and support clients in need
Keep educator informed
Write observations in appropriate forms
Animate workshops
Salary
Based on Centre Walgwan Center salary scale
Note; Preference will be given to First Nations provided requirements are met.

Capacité d'intervenir dans des situations de crise
Capacité à travailler en équipe / réunions d’équipe
Attitude positive
CRC un atout
Aucun dossier criminel
Bonne forme physique et physiquement actif
Doivent s’engager à mener une vie saine
Permis de conduire valide

Basé sur le salaire à l'échelle du Centre Walgwan Center
