The nearest airport is the Lyon’s «Saint Exupéry» International Airport which is located less than
50 minutes away from Saint-Etienne.
Airport Shuttle «Rhonexpress» :
An express tramway, RHONEXPRESS, links the Lyon «Saint Exupéry» International Airport to the
central Lyon Part-Dieu Railway Station in 25 minutes, with departures every 15 minutes
guaranteeing safe, swift access to the heart of the city.
You can then take a train to come to Saint-Etienne (see the information by train).
Taxis are available at the taxi stands at the Terminal 1 & 2.

The main train station, Châteaucreux, is located at the heart of the new business area and
provides commuters with access to the city centre in 10 minutes the design area of Plaine Achille
in 15 minutes if you use the tramway.
• Direct TGV journeys to/from Saint-Etienne and Paris (4 return journeys every day)
• TER journeys to/from Saint-Etienne and Lyon.
The main tramway to get from the train station to the Cité du Design of Saint-Etienne, is the
T2 Chateaucreux <>Terrasse / Hopital Nord. The tramway stop is just at some meters away when
you exit the train station, at your left.Take the tramway going to the direction : >Terrasse / Hopital
Nord.
