Wine production: Sevre and Maine are two peaceful appellations in the
heart of the sunny vineyards of Muscadet. The Domaine de la Foliette
includes 32 acres. Thriving for generations, these optimal premium quality
are made in the traditional ways "sur lies". Limited production and a
rigorous selection method of grapes contribute to these wonderful wines.
The vineyards of Domaine de la Foliette (32ha) are picturesquely between
the two-Loire rivers, Sevre and Maine. The Muscadet has a warm, bright
color with yellow highlights. The delicate elegant floral aromas of the Clos
de la Fontaine is bursting with lime, melon, lemon grass and fine yeast.
On the palate it is fresh, soft and with mineral notes on a creamy finish.
The "Vieilles Vignes" cuvées express their specific soil properties. Which
are deeply rooted on 55 year old vines and give to the mineralization of
soil around the Domaine.
Serving: Perfect as an aperitif but quite excellent with fish and seafood.
