To form an adverb:
• Add -ment to the adjective's feminine form.
• If the adjectives masculine form ends in -ant or-ent, replace it with or
emment respectively
• Exceptions-gentiment, bien, mal and mieux
• Adverbs usually follow the conjugated verb. Peut-ÿtre, sans doute and
probablement are exceptions in the negative they go before the pas.
