Instructional Strategies Independent Practice Summary/Closure Assessment The teacher will -define the term adjectif(s) -explain the rules for using masculine and feminine adjectives Students will 1. copy notes from the smartboard 2. complete oral drills (pronunciation) 3. complete exercises 1-4, pages 164-165 Question & Answer Teacher-made Check-forComprehension activity The teacher will -review gender adjectives by using overhead transparences. -use a powerpoint presentation to introduce singular and plural adjectives The teacher will -write three sentences on the board which illustrate the position of the adjective in a sentence. -assign students (for correction) five sentences that have incorrect position of the adjectives. Students will -copy notes from the presentation. -complete exercises 5-7, pp. 166-167 of the text. Power point presentation – Les adjectifs Students will complete Activités 1, 2, and 3 on p. 56 of Activité Pour Tous workbook Students will -copy the rules for the position of adjectives. -correct the designated sentences as designated by the teacher. -pronounce adjectives and stress final consonant sounds. Students will use flash cards to indicate their level of mastery. Quiz -conduct oral drills for final consonants.
