Aujourd’hui, la palme revient à un conducteur
de 34 ans de La Pêche qui fut arrêté pour
conduite avec les capacités affaiblies causant
des lésions.
Today, the prize goes to a 34 year old driver
from La Pêche who was arrested for driving
while impaired causing bodily harm.
L’événement s’est produit le 3 juillet, vers 23 h
00, sur le chemin Cléo-Fournier à La Pêche,
secteur East-Aldfield. L’homme de 34 ans a
perdu la maîtrise de la camionnette qu’il
conduisait et s’est retrouvé à l’envers dans un
fossé rempli d’eau. Avec lui, se trouvait trois (3)
autres passagers, dont sa propre fille de huit (8)
mois (elle doit justement fêter son huit (8) mois
aujourd’hui).
The incident occurred on July 3, at
approximately 23:00 hrs, on Cléo-Fournier Road
in La Pêche, East-Aldfield sector. The 34 year
old male lost control of the vehicle he was
driving and ended upside down in a ditch full of
water. Three (3) other passengers were in the
vehicle with him at the time, one being his eight
(8) month old daughter (she is actually
celebrating her eight (8) months today).
Ceux-ci ont été en mesure de s’extirper de
l’habitacle et ont quitté les lieux en direction de
l’hôpital de Wakefield avec un passant, sans
attendre l’ambulance et les policiers.
They were able to pull themselves out of the
vehicle and left the scene with a passerby, not
waiting for the ambulance and police, heading to
the Wakefield hospital.
La fillette fut transférée au centre hospitalier
pour enfants de l’est ontarien, où on ne craint
pas pour sa vie. Pour ce qui est de la conjointe
du conducteur, une femme de 22 ans, et de
l’autre passager, un homme de 28 ans, ceux-ci
ne furent blessés que légèrement.
The little girl was transferred to CHEO, with non
life threatening injuries. As for the spouse of the
driver, a 22 year old woman, and the other
passenger, a 28 year old man, they only
suffered minor injuries.
Pour ce qui est du conducteur et père de
l’enfant, celui-ci avait un permis de conduire
sanctionné et il possède un antécédent en
matière de capacités affaiblies.
Il doit
comparaître en cour le 25 septembre prochain.
As for the driver and father of the baby, his
driver’s licence was previously suspended and
he has a history in such matter.
He is
scheduled to appear in Court on September 25.
