July 2014/juillet 2014 Membership is not required. *Thanks to EMMO Kingston and their customers for the BBQ they held for us which raised $180! *Thanks to all members who voted following our Annual Meeting. We want to hear from the families, individuals and professionals across the province that access Autism Ontario supports, services and information. The information gathered in the survey will provide important feedback on our programs, identify regional gaps in service, as well as provide insight into what families and supporters would like Autism Ontario to focus its efforts. *Canadian Mental Health Association Kingston Branch is moving to 400 Elliot Avenue, Unit 4, Kingston as of July 1st, with the email, phone and fax numbers staying the same. *Autism Canada & organizations across Canada have joined CASDA & the CIHR Autism Research Chair, to create this survey. The information gathered will form the basis of a Canadian National Autism Strategy. Parents, Adults with ASD or Professionals working with ASD clients are asked to participate. The survey only takes 15 minutes to complete and is available at www.ASDalliance.org in both English and French. *Youth (ages 14-25) with an ASD and/or their parents are wanted for a study to understand how to support youth with autism who are transitioning from high school to employment and volunteer work.
