Preview 2015 European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships
MINSK WELCOMES THE STARS OF RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS
Lausanne (SUI) / UEG Office, 28th April 2015:
On Friday 1st May the 31st European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships kick
off at the Minsk Arena in the Belarussian capital.
In the senior ranks 40 National Federations will be represented by 68 individual
gymnasts. All eyes will be on European and World Champion Yana
Kudryavtseva who shows grace, beauty and extreme flexibility in all her
exercises. Her teammates Margarita Mamun and Aleksandra Soldatova will push
each other to take the team gold. Last year’s silver medalist Melitina Staniouta
(BLR) will look to please the home crowd. Ukraine’s Ganna Rizatdinova won
bronze in the all-around last year and is a strong challenger for the medals in
Minsk as well. Other gymnasts to follow are Marina Durunda (AZE), Salome
Pazhava (GEO), Katsiaryna Halkina (BLR), Carolina Rodriguez (ESP), Kseniya
Moustafaeva (FRA), Neta Rivkin (ISR).
27 National Federations are sending a junior group. The junior groups will show
the exercise with 5 balls. Russia, Ukraine and Italy are, together with host nation
Belarus, traditionally strong in the group performance. Also look out for
Azerbaijan’s group who perform their routine to Michael Jackson’s ‘Smooth
Criminal’ complete with original dance steps.
How to watch: Our partner Eurovision will provide a livestream of the senior
competition. Group A on Friday, group A and B on Saturday and the apparatus
finals on Sunday (http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/ueg/index.html)

Competition format: the junior gymnasts will compete in the group exercise
with 5 balls only. They will present this exercise twice during qualification (once
on Friday and once on Saturday). The best 8 groups advance to Sunday’s final.
The senior individual gymnasts will present their hoop and ball routines on
Friday and clubs and ribbon on Saturday. At the end of these 2 days the country
with the highest combined scores is awarded the team title. The top 8 gymnasts
on each apparatus qualify for the finals on Sunday.
Friday 1st May:


CI junior groups 1st presentation: 10.00 to 12.10
CI seniors individual hoop and ball: Group C 14.00 to 15.45, group B
16.00 to 18.00, group A 19.15 to 21.00
Saturday 2nd May:


CI junior groups 2nd presentation 10.00 to 12.15
CI seniors individual clubs and ribbon: Group B 14.00 to 16.00, group C
16.15 to 18.00, group A 18.15 to 20.00
Sunday 3rd May:



CIII (apparatus finals) junior groups 11.00 to 11.45
CIII individual seniors hoop and ball 13.30 to 14.20
CIII individual seniors clubs and ribbon: 14.55 to 15.45

Aperçu des Championnats d’Europe de gymnastique rythmique 2015
MINSK RECOIT LES STARS DE LA GYMNASTIQUE RYTHMIQUE

Le vendredi 1er mai, les 31es Championnats d’Europe de Gymnastique Rythmique
commenceront dans la capitale Biélorusse, à la Minsk Arena.
Quarante Fédérations nationales seront représentées dans la catégorie des
seniors avec 68 gymnastes individuelles. Tous les regards seront tournés vers la
Championne d’Europe et du Monde Yana Kudryavtseva, qui aligne grâce,
beauté et une flexibilité extrême dans tous ses exercices. Ces camarades
d’équipe Margarita Mamun et Aleksandra Soldatova vont s’encourager
mutuellement pour gagner l’or lors du concours par équipe. La médaillée
d’argent de l’année passée, Melitina Staniouta (BLR) va tout faire pour faire
plaisir à « son » public. Ganna Rizatdinova de l’Ukraine, médaillée de bronze
lors du concours multiple l’année passée, est également une concurrente à
prendre très au sérieux pour monter sur le podium. D’autres gymnastes à suivre
sont Marina Durunda (AZE), Salome Pazhava (GEO), Katsiaryna Halkina (BLR),
Carolina Rodriguez (ESP), Kseniya Moustafaeva (FRA) et Neta Rivkin (ISR).
Vingt-sept Fédérations participeront avec un ensemble junior. Ces ensembles
présenteront un exercice avec 5 ballons. La Russie, l’Ukraine et l’Italie sont, tout
comme le pays hôte, très forts dans les exercices des ensembles. Mais il ne faut
pas oublier l’ensemble azéri qui va présenter son exercice sur la chanson
« Smooth Criminal » de Michael Jackson, y.c. avec des pas de danse originaux.
Comment regarder : notre partenaire Eurovision fournira un livestream des
compétitions seniors. Groupe A le vendredi, Groupe A et B le samedi et les
finales par agrès le dimanche (http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/ueg/index.html).

Format de compétition: les gymnastes juniors présenteront un exercice des
ensembles avec 5 ballons. Cet exercice sera présenté deux fois lors des
qualifications (une fois le vendredi et une fois le samedi). Les huit meilleurs
ensembles se qualifieront pour la finale du dimanche. Les gymnastes
individuelles seniors présenteront leurs exercices avec cerceau et ballon le
vendredi et avec massues et ruban le samedi. Après ces deux jours de
compétition, le pays avec la plus haute note combinée recevra le titre par
équipe. Les huit meilleures gymnastes par engin seront qualifiées pour les finales
du dimanche.

CI individuelles seniors, cerceau et ballon : Groupe C 14.00 à 15.45,
groupe B 16.00 à 18.00, groupe A 19.15 à 21.00
Samedi, 2 mai :

CI ensembles juniors, 2e présentation : 10.00 à 12.15
CI individuelles seniors, massues et ruban : Groupe B 14.00 à 16.00,
groupe C 16.15 à 18.00, groupe A 18.15 à 20.00
Dimanche, 3 mai :



CIII (finales par engin), ensembles juniors : 11.00 à 11.45
CIII individuelles seniors, cerceau et ballon : 13.30 à 14.20
CIII individuelles seniors, massues et ruban : 14.55 à 15.45
