Aufruf zum Internationalen Tag gegen Polizeibrutalität am 15. März

Wir, die Kampagne für Opfer rassistischer Polizeigewalt (KOP), rufen auf zur Kundgebung
am 15. März, dem Internationalen Tag gegen Polizeibrutalität. Gemeinsam wollen wir unsere
Wut über rassistische Polizeigewalt zum Ausdruck zu bringen und den Menschen gedenken,
die in Deutschland von der Polizei getötet wurden.
Der internationale Tag gegen Polizeibrutalität wurde 1997 auf Initiative der C.O.B.P.
(Montréal/Kanada) und der anarchistischen Gruppe “Black Flag” (Schweiz) initiiert. Das
Datum erinnert an den brutalen Übergriff der Schweizer Polizei am 15. März 1996 auf zwei
Kinder im Alter von 11 und 12 Jahren. Seitdem gehen am 15. März jährlich weltweit
Menschen auf die Straße, um der Toten zu gedenken und sich gegen Polizeigewalt zu wehren.
Weltweit wird der Tag dazu genutzt, sich mit marginalisierten Gruppen, die potentielle Opfer
von Polizeigewalt sind, zu vernetzen. People of Colour, Wohnungslose, LSBTTIQ, psychisch
Erkrankte, Drogennutzer_innen, Sexarbeiterinnen. Dadurch ist die inhaltliche Ausrichtung der
jeweiligen Demonstrationen immer auch abhängig von aktuellen Ereignissen.
In Deutschland hat der Internationale Tag gegen Polizeibrutalität bisher keine große
Aufmerksamkeit. Das soll sich 2015 ändern!
Hier in Berlin wollen wir am 15. März 2015 gegen rassistische Polizeigewalt aufstehen. KOP
hat allein von 2000-2014 über 150 Vorfälle dokumentiert, von Schikanen, über Beleidigung
bis hin zu Tötungen. Dabei zeigt sich immer wieder, dass Zusammenhänge verdreht werden,
Polizist_innen sich selbst als Opfer stilisieren, Rassismus als Problem gar nicht
wahrgenommen wird und in sämtlichen Vorfällen die Polizei die Definitionsmacht über die
Situationen behält. Gesetze zu vermeintlich verdachtsunabhängigen Kontrollen öffnen
Polizist_innen Tür und Tor für rassistische Raster.
Raus zum 15. März
Wir wissen: Ein einzelner Aktionstag verändert noch nicht den rassistischen Normalzustand,
aber er kann dazu beitragen, Aufmerksamkeit auf das Problem zu lenken und aktivistische
Initiativen international stärker miteinander zu vernetzen. Angesichts einer immer engeren
internationalen Zusammenarbeit der Polizei bedarf es auch eines Widerstandes über nationale
Grenzen hinweg.
Wir rufen euch daher auf, sich gemeinsam mit uns und Aktivist_innen auf der ganzen Welt
dem schikanierenden und nicht selten tödlichen System rassistischer Strafverfolgung am 15.
März 2015 entgegen zu stellen – um den Opfern zu gedenken und unserer Wut Ausdruck zu
verleihen.

We, the campaign for victims of racist police brutality (KOP) are calling for a rally on the
15th of march, the International Day Against Police Brutality. Together, we want to express
out outrage about racist police brutality and remember those, who were killed by German
police.
The international day against police brutality was initiated by C.O.B.P. (Montreal, Canada)
and the anarchist „Black Flag“ (Switzerland) in 1997. Its date remembers the brutal assault
against two children aged 11 and 12 years committed by Swiss police on 15th of march 1996.
Ever since, the 15th of march marks the day that people around the world take to the street to
fight against police brutality and to remember those, who lost their life and organize
resistance against it.
On this day, people around the globe use the opportunity to connect with marginalized
groups, that are potential victims of police brutality. People of color, homeless, LGBT,
mentally ill, drug user, sex workers & etc. Therefore, the demonstrations orientated itself to
current events.
So far, the public interest in the international day against police brutality in Germany has been
slim. This needs to change in 2015!
On the 15th of March we want to stand up against police brutality, here in Berlin.
KOP documented 150 incidents ranging from harassments, insults to homicide between 20002014. Often the contexts are turned upside down. The Police see themselves as victims,
Racism is not apprehended. In most cases the Police holds the right to define racism.
Let's go out on the street
Let us join the worldwide protest and go out on the street on the 15th of march and remember
the people, who were victims of racist police brutality in Germany. We want to commemorate
the homicide victims with candles and posters, to hold up the tradition of other cities.
This is just the beginning. We hope that this day will be in future also a day of resistance in
Germany. Together we mourn, show solidarity and put up resistance against police brutality.
We will not stand back!

Nous, campagne pour les victimes de la violence policière (KOP), appelons à la manifestation
le 15 mars, journée internationale contre la brutalité policière . Ensemble, nous voulons
exprimer notre colère face à la violence raciste de la police et nous voulons nous souvenir des
personnes tuées par la police en Allemagne.
La journée internationale contre la brutalité policière a été initiée en 1997 par l'initiative
C.O.B.P. (Montréal/Canada) et le groupe anarchiste « Black Flag » (Suisse). Cette date
rappelle l'attaque violente de la police suisse le 15 mars 1996 contre deux enfants âgés 11 et
12 ans. Depuis, chaque année, des gens partout dans le monde descendent dans la rue pour
rappeler les morts et s'opposer à la violence policière.
Globalement, la journée est utilisée pour se mettre en réseau avec des groupes marginalisés
qui sont des victimes potentielles des violences de la police. « People of Colour », des sansabris, LGBTTIQ, des personnes souffrant de troubles psychiques, des consommateurs_trices
de drogue, des travailleurs_euses du sexe. Ce faisant, l'orientation thématique de chaque
manifestation est aussi et toujours en fonction des événements actuels.
En Allemagne la journée internationale contre de la brutalité policière ne retient pas
encore beaucoup l'attention du public. Nous voulons changer cela en 2015 !
Ici à Berlin, nous voulons nous lever contre la violence raciste de la police le 15 mars 2015.
Entre 2000 et 2014 seulement, KOP a documenté plus de 150 cas, des abus de pouvoir à des
insultes jusqu'à des homicides. Dans les cas rapportés, on constate encore et toujours que les
circonstances sont détournées. Des policiers_ières se présentent en tant que victimes, le
racisme n'est pas du tout perçu comme faisant partie du problème, et dans tous les cas la
police détient le pouvoir de définir les situations. Des lois pour des contrôles soi-disant « sans
motif » ouvrent grand les portes aux contrôles aux faciès des policiers_ières.
Dans la rue le 15 Mars
Nous le savons : Un seul jour d'action ne change pas l'état du racisme ordinaire mais il peut
contribuer à interpeller sur le problème et à mettre en lien les initiatives internationales. Face
à une coopération internationale de la police, il est également nécessaire de créer une
résistance au-delà des frontières nationales.
Pour ces raisons, nous vous appelons à vous opposer avec nous et d'autres militant_es partout
dans le monde contre le système abusif et fréquemment mortel des agissements racistes de la
police le 15 mars 2015 – pour penser aux victimes et manifester notre colère.
