PRESS RELEASE Paris, 19 July 2016 Le Groupe La Poste and Caisse des Dépôts have joined forces to create SOBRE, a joint-venture at the service of energy transition. Le Groupe La Poste, through its subsidiary Poste Immo, Caisse des Dépôts, and construction engineering and design company Egis, a subsidiary of the Caisse des Dépôts group, have joined forces to create SOBRE, a joint-venture at the service of energy transition. Following a test phase on its shareholders' property portfolios, the company will offer practical solutions for the management and reduction of energy consumption for real estate professionals. Aware of the stakes surrounding the energy transition and cost optimisation which are forcing economic players to change the way they manage energy consumption, and within an increasingly defined regulatory framework, Le Groupe La Poste and Caisse des Dépôts and Consignations have launched a joint-venture aimed at developing their services in this field, based on know-how acquired through managing their respective building portfolios. SOBRE brings together the expertise of Poste Immo, a Le Groupe La Poste subsidiary, the experience and know-how of Caisse des Dépôts, which is already positioned on the energy services market, as well as financing local authorities, and the technical knowhow of Egis, an engineering company boasting an array of skills in energy and construction, to provide comprehensive solutions adapted to different property portfolios, for the management and optimisation of building energy performance. "With a property portfolio of seven million square metres and Le Groupe La Poste's strong commitment to the energy transition, Poste Immo is proud of this important initiative which provides yet more proof of the role that real estate plays in energy consumption" noted Christian Cléret, CEO of Poste Immo and Real Estate Director at Le Groupe La Poste. " Caisse des Dépôts has made ecological and energy transition one of its strategic priorities. It is therefore encouraging measures to improve the energy efficiency of buildings and is participating, together with Poste Immo and Egis, in a new energy management solution. This solution marks a turning point in the transition to lower energy use by using digital services to share and use feedback from buildings using the new system", explained Gabrielle Gauthey, Director of Investment and Local Development at Caisse des Dépôts. "Egis has long been committed to the climate and has helped draw up the future Responsible Building 2020 regulations and is thus one of the major proponents of including real estate in the energy transition. This partnership between Egis, Poste Immo and Caisse des Dépôts marks a significant new step in the co-creation of a sustainable future for France's real estate sector. We are particularly proud of this initiative which 1 once again uses engineering to speed society's transition to a more responsible and lowenergy development model." explained Nicolas Jachiet, CEO of Egis. The partnership between the Caisse des Dépôts group and Le Groupe La Poste delivers on their commitment to the shared development of services for the country's energy transition, in the year following the Paris agreement reached during the COP21 and the implementation of the French Law for Energy Transition and Green Growth.
