assistance in identifying a male armed with a hand gun
responsible for a convenience store robbery.
On Saturday August 4th, 2012 at approximately 2:00am , a lone
male suspect entered a convenience store located in the 1000
block of Pleasant Park Road with his face disguised and armed
with a handgun. The suspect ordered a customer to the ground
who was inside the store at the time then made a demand for

wearing a bandana over his face, a dark hoodie sweatshirt and
dark pants.

assistance in identifying a male wanted for robbery.
On July 28th at approximately 04:25 hrs a lone male
attended the Tim Horton’s located in the 1900 block of Walkley
Rd and accosted an employee who was outside. Once inside, the
suspect ordered the employees to the ground.
The suspect
proceeded to empty the cash tray into a black garbage bag
and fled out the rear door.
Suspect description: white male, 30-40yrs old, wearing a black
and yellow motorcycle helmet with letters JHC right on the
front , white sneakers, beige colored long sleeve buttoned up
shirt with a collar, light coloured pants, black gloves, dark
black sunglasses, clean shaven. Suspect was wearing the
motorcycle helmet during the entire incident.

The Ottawa Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance
in identifying a robbery suspect.
On July 26, 2012, at approximately 2:00 pm, a lone male
entered a jewelry store situated along the 1900 block of St.
Laurent Boulevard. The male initially posed as an interested
customer but then suddenly made a more violent demand for
jewelry.
The suspect smashed a jewelry display case but
ultimately fled the store empty handed. The suspect fled to a
waiting vehicle with one or two other occupants.

6’1″(1,85 m), 22-25yrs, dark hair, clean shaven, wearing a

Ottawa retail robbery suspect
The Ottawa Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance
in identifying a robbery suspect.
On July 22, 2012 at approximately 1:00 am, a lone suspect
entered a fast food restaurant situated along the 300 block of
Fallowfield Road in Barrhaven. The suspect produced a handgun
and ushered staff and customers into one area. The suspect
obtained an undisclosed quantity of cash and fled the
restaurant on foot. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as being a male, mid to late 20’s,
approx. 5′-10″(1.78 m). 180 lbs (82 kg), wearing a fake black
beard, pink sunglasses, a navy blue hoodie with red trim
around the hood with a logo, black jeans, and black shoes (See
attached image.)

Ottawa Armed Robbery
Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police Service are seeking your
assistance in solving a robbery.
The Ottawa Police Service is investigating four retail
robberies that took place in Blackburn Hamlet between January
11-20, 2012.
The incidents occurred between the hours of
1150pm – 6:00am.
The lone suspect, armed with a knife,
entered the stores and demanded money and lottery tickets,
before fleeing on a bicycle.
There were no injuries stemming from these incidents.
The suspect: a white male, 20-30yrs, 5’10 tall, medium build,
wearing a grey or green jacket, a light grey hooded
sweatshirt, a black winter toque, a dark scarf and sunglasses.

On December 31, 2011 at 8:05 pm a white male robbed a Gas
Station on River Road, Ottawa. The male had his face covered
and used a handgun to commit the robbery. The suspect appeared
to be white, in his 20’s, about 5’9 tall and English speaking.
After the robbery he proceeded north on foot on River Rd .

Ottawa robbery at coin shop
Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police Service are seeking your
assistance in solving a robbery.
On Tuesday November 29th, 2011 at about 4:30 pm two male
suspects entered a coin shop on Bank Street, Ottawa. The two
males were wearing black ski masks and one carried a white can
believed to be pepper spray. The males proceeded to the back
room of the business where they confronted employees. One
suspect pointed the canister of pepper-spray at an
employee and directed the employee to the cash register at the
front of the store where he obtained a quantity of cash.
The other suspect entered into the back room area behind his
friend and went directly towards another employee. He said
it was a “stick up” and shoved an employee before directing
him/her to open the vault. The thieves stole numerous items
from the safe which they placed into a black and white plaid
backpack. Subsequently, both males fled the store on foot.

Suspect #2 – White male, 19-25 yo, 5’11”, English speaking
and wearing black ski mask with brown facial hair visible
through mouth-hole, medium build, black hoodie, black jacket,
black gloves, baggy pants.

Ottawa thefts and robberies
of electronic devices
Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police Service are seeking your
assistance in order to solve thefts and robberies of
electronic devices.
Since October 1st, 2011 approximately 50 thefts and robberies
have been reported in the city of Ottawa where an electronic
device has been specifically targeted. Year to date, personal
robberies are up 8% and swarmings have increased by 20% over
the same period in 2010. This represents 46 more swarming and
13 more personal robberies.
In many instances the thefts /robberies are happening on OC
Transpo buses where the thief dashes off the bus after the
theft or at an OC Transpo stop while people are waiting to
board a bus. In most cases the devices are simply being
grabbed from the hands of unsuspecting victims. However, in
some cases, people have been assaulted during the course of
the thefts, escalating the crime to robbery (please see the
text below for safety tips).

Safety tips:

Be alert to your surroundings and avoid isolated
areas, in particular after dark and when withdrawing money
from ATMs;

Be wary of inadvertently displaying possessions of
your cell phone and audio devices; and,

Know what to do if you become a victim:

Do not resist your attackers, they may be armed and
this could lead to serious injury or death;

Try and memorize their faces, clothing and license
plates if they leave in vehicles;

Call 911 as soon as possible, or if you are around
an OC Transpo facility look for an emergency call box; and,
–
If you are a student and are robbed at school or by
someone from your school, report the event to security or the
administrative office as well as to the Ottawa Police Service.

dernier. Ceci se traduit par 46 vols en groupe et 13
détroussements de plus.
Dans bien des cas, les vols/ détroussements se passent dans
des autobus d’ OC Transpo buses ou le voleur se sauve après
avoir volé l’item ou a un arrêt d’OC Transpo lorsque le monde
attendent pour au autobus. Bien souvent, les dispositifs sont
simplement arrachés des mains des victimes sans méfiance.
Toutefois, il est arrivé que des gens soient agressés lors de
la commission d’un vol, augmentant la gravité du crime.

Ottawa robbery on Bank Street

Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police Service are seeking your
assistance in solving a robbery.
At about 6:00 pm on Novembe 19th, 2011 two males robbed a
store located 2500 block of Bank Street in Ottawa. A sum on
money and a large amount of gold jewelry were taken. The first
suspect used a large “Rambo” style knife with a black handle
and a
silver blade. No weapon was used by the second male.
Suspects:
#1 – Middle eastern male with round face, 20-25 years old, 5
’10”-6′ tall and approximately 180 lbs. At that time he wore a
black toque, black pants and spoke with a slang.
#2 – White male, 20-25 years old, 5 ’10”-6′ tall and
approximately 150 lbs. At that time he wore a black balaclava,
black pants and spoke with a slang.
