NOTE AUX PARENTS : COMMUNITY SERVICE Mini­Walk with Friendship Place Dear Parents, For the 11 th consecutive year, the Lycée Rochambeau is organizing a fundraising walk to support Friendship Place, a non­profit organization whose mission is to end homelessness. The Mini­Walk will take place on the campus of Forest Road on Friday, October 21 st , from 2:30 to 3:20 pm . We will meet in the auditorium where we will hear the story of a former homeless person. We encourage students and their families to join us in this action of solidarity to support Friendship Place , which offers services to the homeless in DC and eight surrounding counties. They serve veterans, families and young people, helping them rebuild their lives. www.friendshipplace.org Registration is $ 10 / $ 30 for adults 25 and older. You may register your children, and even your family as virtual walkers. The Rochambeau community is a strong supporter of Friendship Place, and last year we raised $ 5,866.00 thanks to your amazing support. Our goal is to raise $ 5,000.00 with 100% participation! For the first time in 11 years, every dollar will be matched!!! Please, help us reach our goal by completing the waiver attached, and return it to Mrs. Genovese or the Elementary School teacher by October 19 . NOTE AUX PARENTS : COMMUNITY SERVICE Mini­Walk with Friendship Place Chers Parents, Dans le cadre du Community Service et du Portfolio Citoyenneté , le lycée organise pour la 11 e année consécutive une marche de soutien pour Friendship Place , organisation à but non lucratif dont la mission est de mettre fin au phénomène des sans­abri. La Mini­Walk aura lieu sur le campus de Forest Road vendredi 21 octobre de 14h30 à 15h20 . Le rendez­vous est à l’auditorium où nous pourrons entendre le témoignage d’un ancien sans­abri. Nous encourageons les élèves et leurs familles à se joindre à nous dans un effort de solidarité pour soutenir Friendship Place , qui offre des services aux sans­abri de Washington DC et de la région. Ils permettent ainsi aux anciens combattants, aux familles et aux jeunes qui sont dans la rue de reconstruire leur vie. En effet, la Communauté Rochambeau est un des piliers de cette association ! L’année dernière nous avons levé $ 5,866.00 grâce à votre soutien extraordinaire.
