makes history
An astounding pre-historic find
off the west coast of Ireland
has involved DIGITAL S in a
five-year £1.5 million (Irish)
fascinating film project, The
Great Book of Kerry.
Kerry’s history has been found
to date back 125 million years
before the dinosaurs, when
over 150 fossilised vertebrate
footprints were discovered on
Valentina Island. These tetropod footprints are the first ever
to be found in Europe and
were made by the first creatures ever to leave the oceans
and inhabit the land 340
million years ago.
The multi-media project,
managed by the Rattoo
Heritage Centre, will include
five 1-hour films on all commercial, cultural and historic
aspects of the region, shot
using JVC’s new DIGITAL S
format.
Sean Quinlan P.C., historian
and curator of the North Kerry
Museum, heads this project,
and after consulting with his
regional distributor,
Shannonside AV in Limerick,
he decided to invest in the
format.
The Ratoo Heritage Society’s
JVC system includes the
KY-D29 digital 3-CCD colour
camera, docked with a
BR-D40 DIGITAL S recorder.
Together with a TM-600PN 6"
portable monitor and various
accessories, this represents an
initial investment of £30,000
(Irish), which has received
50% European Leader 11 funding. The Society plans to
acquire a DIGITAL S editing
suite.

Bei einen faszinierenden Filmprojekt

DIGITAL S. Die Dreharbeiten zu dem
Projekt mit dem Namen 'The Great
Book of Kerry' kosten voraussichtlich
4,5 Mio. DM und sollen insgesamt
fünf Jahre dauern.
Die Geschichte von Kerry läßt sich
auf 125 Mio. Jahre vor Entstehung
der Dinosaurier zurückverfolgen. Auf
Valentina Island wurden über 150
Fußabdrücke von Wirbeltieren entdeckt. Diese Vierfüßlerabdrücke, die
als die ältesten Europas gelten, stammen von den ersten Tieren, die den
Ozean verlassen haben, um das Land
vor 340 Mio. Jahren zu besiedeln.
Die Leitung dieses Multimedia-Projekts
obliegt dem Ratoo Heritage Centre.
Das Projekt umfaßt insgesamt fünf
einstündige Filme über alle kommerziellen, kulturellen und historischen
Gesichtspunkte dieser Region.
Aufgenommen wird mit dem neuen
DIGITAL S Format von JVC.

leitet dieses Projekt und hat sich nach
Rücksprache mit seinem örtlichen
Fachhändler, der Firma Shannonside
AV aus Limerick, entschieden, in das
neue JVC Format zu investieren.
Das JVC System der Ratoo Heritage
Society umfaßt die digitale 3-CCDFarbkamera KY-D29, angedockt an
einen BR-D40 DIGITAL S Rekorder.
Zusammen mit einem portablen
Monitor TM-600PN 6" und verschiedenen Zubehörteilen beläuft sich
diese Anfangsinvestition auf 30.000
irische Pfund (ca. 75.000 DM), mit
einem Förderanteil von 50%. Die
Gesellschaft plant den Erwerb eines
DIGITAL S Schnittplatzes.

régional Shannonside AV à Limerick, il a décidé d'investir dans ce format.
Le système JVC acquis par la Ratoo Heritage Society comprend la caméra couleur numérique tri-CCD KY-D29 avec son magnétoscope dockable DIGITAL S BR-D40. Ceci représente, avec le moniteur portable TM-600PN de 15 cm et divers accessoires, un
investissement de 30.000 livres (irlandaises) bénéficiant pour 50% d'une subvention européenne du fonds Leader 11. La Ratoo
Society envisage d'acquérir une salle de montage DIGITAL S.
