What is an integration course?
C‘est quoi un cours d‘integration?
Ein Integrationskurs ist ein Angebot für Zugewanderte, die
dauerhaft in Deutschland leben wollen und nur wenig oder
gar kein Deutsch sprechen. In den Kursen lernen die
Teilnehmer die deutsche Sprache und werden mit den
Lebensverhältnissen in Deutschland vertraut gemacht. Sie
üben Lesen, Schreiben, Verstehen und Sprechen.
Integration courses are an offer for migrants who want to live
in Germany permanently and don’t or hardly speak any
German. In these courses the participants learn the German
language and are introduced to the living conditions in
Germany. They practice reading, writing, listening and
speaking.
Un cours d‘intégration est une offre pour des immigrants qui
veulent vivre longtemps en Allemagne et qui ne parlent pas
ou parlent peu la langue allemande. Dans les cours, les
participants apprennent l‘allemand et à se familiariser à la
vie en Allemagne. Ils apprennent à lire, écrire, comprendre et
à parler.

Why integration courses?
Pourquoi des cours d‘integration?
Mit ausreichenden Sprachkenntnissen erleichtern Sie Ihren
Alltag in Deutschland. Der Umgang mit Mitmenschen,
Kollegen, Behörden, Kindergärten und Schulen etc. erfordert
dringend die Kenntnis der deutschen Sprache. Ziel ist es, die
verschiedenen Aufgaben des täglichen Lebens und der
Arbeitswelt ohne Hilfe bewältigen zu können. Im
sogenannten Orientierungskurs erfahren Sie zudem etwas
über die Geschichte und Kultur Deutschlands.
Having sufficient language skills makes everyday life in
Germany much easier. Getting in contact with other people,
colleagues, authorities, schools, etc. strongly requires the
proficiency of the German language. The aim of these courses
is to enable you to master all kinds of tasks both in your daily
life and in your working environment. In so-called
orientation courses you are introduced to the German history
and culture.
Avec des connaissances suffisantes de l‘allemand, vous
allégez votre vie quotidienne en Allemagne. Les rapports avec
les voisins, les collègues, les autorités, crèches, les écoles
etc. exigent une compréhension urgente de la langue
allemande. Le but est de pouvoir gérer de façon autonome
les problèmes quotidiens liés à la vie et au monde du travail.
Dans ce qu‘on appelle cours d‘orientation, vous apprenez sur
l‘histoire et la culture de l‘Allemagne.

Jeder Integrationskurs besteht aus 6 Modulen mit ca. 600
Unterrichtsstunden á 45 Minuten. Die Unterrichtszeit
beträgt 16 Unterrichtsstunden pro Woche. Zum
Kursabschluss können Sie an einem Test A2 / B1
teilnehmen.
Die Teilnahme an einem Integrationskurs erfordert eine
Verpflichtung oder eine Berechtigung. Entsprechende Anträge
können beim Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge
(BAMF), bei Ausländerbehörden oder beim Jobcenter gestellt
werden. Wir unterstützen Sie gerne bei der Antragstellung.
Integration courses consist of 6 modules with a total of
around 600 lessons. Each week 16 lessons are held. After
completing the course you can take part in a final exam in
order to document your acquired level of German (A2/B1).
Participating in an integration course requires an obligation or
a permission. Applications can be filed at the Federal Office for
Migration and Refugees (BAMF), at the Aliens Authority
(Ausländerbehörde) or at the Jobcenter. We can help you with
the application.
Chaque cours d‘integration est composé de 6 modules
avec environ 600 heures de cours à 45 minutes. Les leçons
comportent 16 heures de cours par semaine. A la fin du
cours d‘integration, vous pouvez participer au test A2/ B1.

La participation à un cours d‘integration requiert un
engagement ou un droit. Les demandes peuvent être faites à
l‘Office fédéale pour la migration et les refugiés (BAMF), à
l‘office des étrangers de la ville ou au Jobcenter. Nous vous
soutiendrons volontiers dans vos démarches de demande.

Die Kosten für die Teilnahme an einem Integrationskurs
richten sich nach den individuellen Voraussetzungen der
Teilnehmer. Die Teilnehmer erhalten in der Regel eine
Kostenbefreiung durch das Bundesamt für Migration und
Flüchtlinge (BAMF). Wer nicht kostenbefreit ist, bezahlt 1,55
Euro pro Unterrichtsstunde bzw. 155 Euro pro Modul. Für
Selbstzahler betragen die Kosten 235 Euro.

Prix
Costs for the participation in an integration course depend on
the individual prerequisites of the participants. Many
participants are released from the costs by the Federal Office
for Migration and Refugees (BAMF). Those who are not have to
pay 1,55 Euro per lesson respectively 155 Euro per module.
People who don’t get any financial support for an integration
course pay 235 Euro for each module.
Les frais à payer pour la participation à un cours d‘integration
s‘orientent aux conditions individuelles des demandeurs. En
principe, les participants obtiennent une exonération des frais
de cours par l‘Office fédérale pour la migration et les refugiés
(BAMF). Celui qui n‘a pas cette exonération doit payer 1,55
Euro par heure de cours respectivement 155 Euro par module.
Celui qui paye à titre personnel doit payer 235 Euro par
module.

• Aktueller Nachweis über den Bezug von Sozialleistungen
• Berechtigungsschein zur Teilnahme am Integrationskurs
• Zertifikat und Datum des Einstufungstests
If you want to register for an integration course, it is useful to
bring along the following documents:
• Copy of your passport
• Copy of your current residence title
and if available
• Up-to-date verification of social benefits
• Permission certificate for an integration course
• Certificate of a placement test
