This year will mark a special anniversary for Our Lady of Assumption Parish. We hope that you
will join us in celebrating the 175th Anniversary of the First Mass that was celebrated in Our Lady
of Assumption Cathedral, Cathédrale Notre Dame de l’Assomption on October 15, 1837. An
organizing committee is set up and activities are being organized for the whole weekend of
October 13, 14 & 15, of this year. We welcome anyone who is interested in joining the committee
or presenting an idea to do so by contacting the Pastoral office at 226-2109 or by email to:
[email protected] .The next Planning Committee meeting will be held on
February 28. Please mark these important dates on your calendar and plan on participating. Let all
denominations near and far, unite in celebration and bring “Our Faith” back to life. God and the
Church Community have not let us down, humans have.

KOC NEWS - THANK Y OU: The members would like to thank everyone who supported us by
buying tickets for the Nova Scotia State Cash Bonanza Draw. Drawing was held at the Annual
Convention held last weekend. Winners were: $25,000 - Donna MacRae - sold by Dartmouth Council;
$1,000 - Conrad Ball – sold by Lakeside Council; $750 - Marise - sold by West Chezzetcook Council;
$500 - The MacNeil Girls - sold by Port Hawkesbury Council and $500 - Bill Mac Donald - sold by
North Sydney Council.

lundis soir de 7 à 9. Il y a une limite de 20 personnes donc enregistrez-vous

sera présenté à la fin d’été.

Danse d’enfants mercredi le 6 juin 2012 de 6h30 à 8h30 à La Picasse pour les enfants
12 ans et moins. 5$ par enfant. Musique enregistré avec lumières ainsi que les services
de cantine disponible. NB : Les sacs à dos & les sacoches sont INTERDIT. Les
manteaux seront affiché sur les supports dans le couloir donc La Picasse n’est pas
responsable pour les items perdus. KIDS DANCE, Wednesday June 6th 2012 from
6:30 to 8:30 pm at La Picasse. For kids 12 and under only $5 per person. Music by a DJ
and canteen services will be available. NB: Back packs and purses are
NOT ALLOWED. Jackets will be put on hangers in the hallway
therefore La Picasse IS NOT responsible for any lost items.
