Dear Parents / Guardians,
Here is this week’s news: GAGNANT(E) S DE BD : Congratulation to the winners of l’école des Grands-Vents who
participated in the comics’ contest in the French newspaper Le Gaboteur; Alexandra Campbell in
grade 1, for her drawing « Il était une fois », and Noël Swiss in grade 3, for his comic strip « Le
sandwich ».
• SCHOOL LUNCH: The envelopes for the month of February will be distributed to the
students tomorrow, Wednesday, January 13th and must be return to school on Tuesday,
January 19th at the latest.
• LOCKDOWN: The first practice will be on Thursday, January 21st. See letter attached
for more details.
• SKATE EXCHANGE on Thursday, January 14th in the foyer of the community centre
between 3 and 4 pm. If you have children’s skates that are too small, girl or boy, bring
them to school and check if there are other skates that will fit your child.
• SKATING LESSONS: Students in kindergarten to grade 3 will start their skating
lessons on Wednesday, January 21st. A reminder to parents of primary students to
return the permission slip and money for skating to school.

SPRING BASKETS: We will draw 2 spring baskets for a fundraiser for the school. (1
ticket for 2$ or 3 tickets for 5$).
We also accept donations to fill these baskets, only new articles please; gift cards, coffee
mugs, books, CD’s, DVD’s, gift certificates, small toys. If you have promotional items
