ATELIER PASSION - LA ROCHE CANILLAC
Unleash your creatvity !
New manual skills workshop in La Roche Canillac from 29 th january
Every second Friday from 2.30pm to 4.30pm
This atelier-passion aims to bring together a small group of people interested in manual skills or
personalised creatons. In order to prepare the workshops, please register with Isabelle - be
aware that the number of partcipants is limited. You will try to make an object in approximately
2 hours with the possibility of fnishing it at home or at the next workshop. As the aim is to
encourage motvated and actve partcipants, contributons will be welcome in the form of
various materials : fabrics, wool, documents etc. If you so wish you will also be able to prepare a
specifc accessory for the Carnival (for instance a hat, a mask or anything else).

CONFERENCE BY THE GENDARMERIE OF MARCILLAC-LA-CROISILLE
Saturday 13th February at 2.30pm at the Mille Club
The gendarmes of Marcillac will talk about the following themes : burglary,
assault, doorstep selling, internet fraud and hazards, bogus sales people, how to
have the right refexes in the street, children and drugs, etc. What precautons
can you take? How can you protect yourself? A twenty-minutes flm will
illustrate the presentaton by Adjudant Chef Rémy.
Free entry. Drinks will be available at the end of the meetng.

Children's carnival : the school’s children will
walk down to the Mille Club where snacks
will be provided by the Comité des Fêtes.
Children will also be encouraged to come
back with their parents to the Sunday market
on the 14th of February where Anne will give
a free pancake to any child in fancy dress.

CAMBODGE : LE SOURIRE RETROUVÉ - 2nd FEBRUARY, 3pm
« Between 2003 and 2005 I travelled extensively throughout Cambodia,
exploring every province with a small team of friends, all of them Cambodians
and then produced a road-movie relatng those experiences: “Cambodge, les
clés d’un royaume” (Cambodia: Keys to a kingdom). Ten years later, my father
and I were wondering what happened to the litle girl of Pailin, to the small
child and his pet-bats and to the former Khmer Rouge who later became a
sorcerer; to the old road-sweep from Angkor, to those people rescued from
the jungle or to the Phnom Penh children so interested in learning to dance.
So we set of again on the kingdom’s roads. “Cambodge: Le sourire retrouvé”
(Cambodia: Smiling again) relates this amazing new voyage which took us
from Phnom Penh to Angkor and from secret temples to old friends found
again. »
In the series “connaissance du monde” this flm is presented in Tulle by directors Emmanuel and Sébasten Braquet.

A Joël Robuchon recipe : Chesnut Soup
Ingredients (serve 8) : 3 dozen chestnuts, 1 sprig of rosemary, 1 leek, 1 onion, 1 garlic clove, 1 celery stck, 10cl of fresh cream, 1
glass of milk, 30g buter, salt & pepper.
Preparaton : throw the chestnuts into boiling water with the rosemary sprig then take out and peel (alternatvely you can use
vacuum-packed chestnuts). Chop all the other vegetables fnely, add 2,5l of cold salted water and slowly bring to the boil (35’). Put
everything into a blender and add the cream, pepper. Thin down with milk if necessary. Warm up without boiling, add the buter
and serve.
