Soca ist die Musikrichtung der karibischen Inseln, welche Anfang der 70er Jahre in Trinidad & Tobago aus
dem Calypso und Einflüssen des Soul & Funk unter Verwendung von indischen Instrumenten (Dholak, Tabla,
Dhantal) entstanden ist. Soca zeichnet sich im Vergleich zu Calypso durch ein höheres Tempo und stärkere
Betonung auf perkussive Elemente aus.

Lazer remix of the song presented Soca music to the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) audience in a big way.
The success of the song on US radio prompted Busta Rhymes to add his voice on a mix that pushed the
