Has the time not come for the brothers in Libya and elsewhere to
turn away from the likes of Ahmad Baazmool and Usaamah ’Ataayaa
(‘al-’Utaybee’) and those who are like them. Their jest has not
become clear to the eyes along with their deception of the youth and
splitting their ranks. How many have spoken about people with
accusation? And how many have become heedless, or feigned
heedlessness, of the Shari’ description of rulings.
When some of the people of knowledge spoke about them, they
then started to fluctuate from the principles which they used to
acknowledge beforehand! And started to evoke the need for
‘Tathabbut’ [verification], and that those who spoke about them
have erred and thus are not to be followed in their error! And that
those who spoke about them are not to accept the reports of
everyone even if they are regarded as trustworthy with him etc.
I do not know how the Usool can change with them like this, or that
when they were spoken about they began to acknowledge existing
rules. Yet this is not strange from them yet what is how they make
excuses for themselves which they think are acceptable. I do not
know when they will wake up!? I do not want to go on too long on
this, a mere indication is sufficient as a mere indication is sufficient
for the sensible person. Perhaps it is confusion in the hearts which
cause such turning away from the truth.
