The Commission has adopted the annuaL economic report for 1984-85 in
accordance with the Councit Decision of 1974 on convergence. The report
wjLL be presented to the CouncjL for adoptjon after ParLiament and the
Economic and SociaL Committee have been consulted.
The economic prospects for 1985 and the main economic poLicy concLusions
for the Community are summarized betow.

to grips with the probtem of indebtedness. The Community shouLd pay

internationaL institutions and bodies and shouId adopt common positions
