At the crossroads of contemporary art, architecture
and engineering, Franc Vila’s Esprit Unique makes
another very strong statement. Even more
impressive than the aesthetic quest for pure
refinement is its technical prowess. This timepiece,
with its differential gears system, houses a flying
tourbillon made of lightnium, a new alloy of lithium
and aluminium, and is offered in a limited edition of
8. The structured design of this mechanism has its
roots in modern architecture and, as lightnium is an
extremely light material, the mechanism has been
pierced.

l’architecture et l’ingénierie, l’Esprit Unique de
Franc Vila se vérifie plus que jamais. Au-delà de la
quête esthétique des plus affinées, c’est bien la
prouesse technique qui impressionne. Un tourbillon
volant réalisé en « Lightnium », alliage inédit de
lithium et d’aluminium, épouse ce garde-temps à
engrenages différentiels, limité à 8 pièces. Puisant
ses racines dans l’architecture moderne, le design
structuré du mécanisme se fait squelette grâce à la
légèreté extrême de ce nouveau matériau.

„Esprit Unique“ von Franc Vila mehr denn je seinen
Wert. Über das Streben nach einer immer feineren
Ästhetik hinaus beeindruckt die technische Leistung.
Ein fliegendes Tourbillon aus «Lightnium», einer
neuen Legierung aus Lithium und Aluminium in
einem Werk mit Planetengetriebe finden sich in
dieser Uhr, die auf nur 8 Exemplare limitiert ist. Das
strukturierte Design des Werks, das seine
Anregungen aus der modernen Architektur bezieht,
findet in der Skelettierung des Tourbillons dank des
neuen Materials eine geradezu extreme Leichtigkeit.
