Language Requirements Exigences linguistiques Most of the universities require that applicants whose first language is one other than English, or who were educated in a country where English is not normally the language of instruction, write or take one of the language tests listed below. Each institution has its own requirements, which are subject to change. Most universities apply more stringent requirements for certain programs. It is in the applicant’s best interests to contact the universities directly for more information. Algoma University College The minimum number of years to waive requirements is three years full-time in an English-speaking educational institution. ENG4U is also required. A 4U English is also required. Students must arrange for original test scores to be sent directly from the testing centre to the UOIT Registrar’s Office. Minimum TOEFL Score: International students currently studying in Ontario, who have received an offer of admission to the university, can also choose to satisfy their English language proficiency requirement by registering for UOIT's internal English language proficiency test. Successful completion of this test will satisfy the English language proficiency requirement for UOIT. Students who do not meet the university's minimum English language proficiency requirement on this test will automatically receive an offer of admission to UOIT's English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program. Upon completion of level 10 of this program, students will be permitted to enter into their university program directly. Puisque les candidats doivent être citoyens canadiens pour être admissibles au CMR, il n'y a pas d'examen de compétence linguistique précédant l'admission. Il est entendu que tous les candidats doivent répondre aux exigences d'admission du programme auquel ils font demande incluant un cours de français 12e année U. Les cours de langue sont obligatoires pour tous les candidats qui n'ont pas encore un niveau de compétence élevé dans les deux langues officielles. Quand un étudiant a atteint le niveau qualifié, il doit subir un test de certification de la langue seconde. Tout étudiant doit réussir ce test de compétence linguistique avant de recevoir le diplôme. Université Laurentienne Un cours de français 12e année U est exigé pour l'admission aux programmes offerts entièrement ou partiellement en français. Les personnes qui choisissent un programme offert uniquement en anglais peuvent suivre des cours facultatifs en français. Toutes les candidates et tous les candidats de l'école secondaire qui ont étudié au Canada pendant moins de quatre ans devront faire preuve de leurs compétences linguistiques en français ou en anglais. Collège universitaire de Hearst Le cours de français 12e année U est exigé pour l'admission au Collège universitaire de Hearst. Pour obtenir leur diplôme, les étudiantes et les étudiants doivent réussir les cours FRAN 1806F Introduction à la langue française I et FRAN 1807F Introduction à la langue française II. Université d’Ottawa L'Université d'Ottawa offre ses cours en français et en anglais. Les candidats qui maîtrisent les deux langues officielles pourront s'inscrire dans la langue de leur choix. L'Université se réserve le droit de demander une preuve de compétence linguistique à tout candidat dont la langue maternelle n'est ni le français ni l'anglais. Tous les candidats doivent se conformer aux exigences d'admission du programme, notamment en ce qui a trait aux cours de français ou d’English 4U. Université Saint-Paul L'Université Saint-Paul offre des programmes en langues française et anglaise. Les candidats doivent maîtriser la langue d'enseignement du programme auquel ils s'inscrivent. L'Université se réserve le droit de faire passer un test de compétence linguistique lorsque l'analyse du dossier d'admission ne permet pas de déterminer une connaissance suffisante du français ou de l'anglais. York University – Campus Glendon Glendon est une faculté bilingue, c'est-à-dire que les cours sont offerts en français et en anglais.
