Abwicklung von Erdgas-Futures für Deutschland
Sehr geehrtes Clearing-Mitglied,
ab Juli 2007 wird ECC alle Geschäfte in Erdgas-Futures, die an der European Energy Exchange
(EEX) abgeschlossen oder für das Clearing registriert wurden, gemeinsam mit Ihnen abwickeln.
Die Futures werden in den Marktgebieten E.ON Gastransport AG & Co. KG (EGT-Natural-GasFutures) und BEB Transport GmbH & Co. KG (BEB-Natural-Gas-Futures) physisch erfüllt. Den genauen Beginn und die zu diesem Zeitpunkt handelbaren Fälligkeiten wird ECC Ihnen rechtzeitig in
Abstimmung mit EEX in den nächsten Wochen bekannt geben.
Dieses Schreiben informiert Sie über die Abwicklung der Erdgas-Futures, Details zu deren Margining, geplante Simulationen sowie die Zulassung.

In der Anlage finden Sie die EEX-Kontraktspezifikation sowie eine CSV-Datei mit Kontraktdetails,
die zusammenfassend alle notwendigen Produktinformationen für Ihre Vorbereitungen enthalten.
Settlementpreise:
Die täglichen Settlementpreise werden von der EEX ermittelt und von der ECC im EUREX-System
gegen 17:30 Uhr veröffentlicht.
Cascading-File:
Die ECC wird ab Mai das bestehende Cascading-File für EEX-Produkte erweitern und auf dem
ECC-FTP-Server sowie im Downloadbereich der ECC-Webseite bereitstellen. Dieses enthält alle
Daten über die Reduktion des Kontraktvolumens der Erdgas-Futures im Liefermonat.

Es werden zu Beginn keine Margin-Gruppen gebildet.
Simulation:
Alle EGT- bzw. BEB-Natural-Gas-Futures wurden bereits in der EUREX-Simulationsumgebung
aufgesetzt und stehen ab sofort entsprechend beigefügtem EUREX-Simulationskalender für Testzwecke zur Verfügung. Im Juni wird EEX eine Simulation mit den Marktteilnehmern durchführen.
Zulassung:
Ihre Clearing-Lizenz schließt bereits die Abwicklung dieser Erdgas-Futures ein. Zur Handelsteilnahme ist die ordnungsgemäße physische Abwicklung der Geschäfte gegenüber der ECC entsprechend Formular TP10a/TP11a oder TP10c/TP11c nachzuweisen.

Settlement of Natural Gas Futures for Germany
Dear Clearing Member
As of July 2007 ECC will settle all transactions in natural gas futures which are concluded on
European Energy Exchange (EEX) or have been registered for clearing together with you. The futures will be settled physically in the market areas of E.ON Gastransport AG & Co. KG (EGT Natural Gas Futures) and BEB Transport GmbH & Co. KG (BEB Natural Gas Futures). The exact starting date and the maturities which can be traded at that time will be communicated to you by ECC
in coordination with EEX over the next weeks.
This letter provides information to you with regard to the settlement of the natural gas futures, details on the margining regarding these, planned simulations as well as member readiness.

Please find enclosed with this letter the EEX Contract Specifications as well as a CSV file with contract details which contain all the required product information for your preparation as a summary.
Settlement prices:
The daily settlement prices are established by EEX and published by ECC in the EUREX system at
approx. 5:30pm.
Cascading file:
As of May, ECC will extend the existing cascading file for EEX products and provide it on the ECC
FTP server as well as in the download area of the ECC web site. Said file comprises all the data
regarding the reduction of the contract volume of natural gas futures during the delivery month.

At the beginning, margin groups will not be formed.
Simulation:
All EGT and BEB Natural Gas Futures have already been included in the EUREX simulation environment and are available for test purposes as of now in accordance with the EUREX simulation
calendar enclosed herewith. In June, EEX will carry out a simulation with the trading participants.
Member readiness:
Your clearing license already includes settlement of the natural gas futures. For participation in trading evidence regarding proper physical settlement of the transactions has to be furnished for ECC
in accordance with forms TP10a/TP11a or TP10c/TP11c.
